Seventeen leaders who are in Perth for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) have been left stranded after they were booked to fly out of the city on Qantas planes.

The CHOGM taskforce says it is discussing alternative transport options with a number of delegations.

Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd was due to leave Perth on a Qantas flight this afternoon but has returned to the city, while Prime Minister Julia Gillard is due to leave Perth tomorrow on her private plane.

The Queen has already left Australia, boarding a British Airways jet in Perth for an 18-hour flight home.

Is our beloved President (THE ROLLING STONE) Excited by the Qantas Grounding? So he will continue having some fun with his entourage?
