Why is it that African leaders have become power mongers, from Museveni to Nkurunzinza, from Ali Mohammed Shein to Mugabe?
How dare they claim democracy while they rig elections, cancel official when the outcome is not in their favour, and imprison, put into house arrest or charge opposition members who speak the truth, charging them with sedition?
What is the rest of the world saying about us? Are they not making Donald Trump's statements to appear pale in comparison, that, in fact, things are actually worse than they appear, and Trump, bigoted as he may be, could have just scratched the tip of the iceberg?
I may not agree with Trump, but, in this case, we didn't need him to expose the African malaise, we did a much better job ourselves!
Africa is the Promised Land. Why can't we work towards bringing Eden back, where people will live in harmony, where peace and justice will prevail, where love and friendship will prospers, where riches will abound, where it will be a sin to strike your neighbour?
Let's walk away from hardship and start paying our road to prosperity. Let us, irrespective of our economic, ethnic, political, social or religions affiliations, join hands to establish a True United States of the People of Africa!
