Earlier today, we told you about a woman who says she was barred from swimming at a Paris area pool while wearing a head-to-toe burqini swimsuit.
Now comes a story that a Sudanese woman charged in Sudan with dressing indecently for wearing trousers has been prevented from traveling abroad.
Lubna Hussein says she tried to leave on Tuesday to visit Lebanon where she had been invited to appear on a television program, the BBC reports.
She says an airport official said her name had been put on a blacklist last Friday, the day she was invited to France by President Nicolas Sarkozy.
If convicted in a month's time, she could face up to 40 lashes.
Hussein has resigned from a United Nations job that would have given her immunity, indicating she wants her trial to become a test case for women's rights in Sudan, the BBC says.
