WIZI WA MABEGI/HANDBAG NA SIMU KWA KUTUMIA MAGARI, PIKIPIKI NA KWA MIGUU WAKITHIRI DAR
Hivi karibuni kumekuwa na kuthiri kwa wizi wa aina ya uporaji wa magi na pochi pamoja na simu kwa kutumia magari, pikipiki na kwa miguu. Ni muhimu sana kwa jamii kuwa makini na kufuata ushauri huu hapa chini

BAG/CELLPHONE SNATCH
As usual TI RESPONSE TEAM continues to issue alerts after learning about incidents/crime.
BACKGROUND
Recently, the bag and mobile phone snatching has increased by gang of thieves on motorbike and vehicle in Dar es Salaam region. Example at Upanga area, Mikocheni and Recently near DTV round about.
WHO ARE THE TARGETS?
Those walking on the streets carrying handbags, laptop bags & talking on the cellphone.
It is important to take necessary precautions while walking; Few tips are as stated hereunder :-
1. Beware of the surroundings that you are walking.
2. Carry the handbags, Laptop bags only when it is necessary.
3. Avoid talking on the cell phone while walking on the streets.
4. If carrying your handbag or laptop bag is necessary; hold it firmly across your shoulder and not hanging ( shorter belt)
5. Use pedestrian walkway paths (Avoid walking on the streets, while holding the bags or talking on the cell phone).
6. Incase you are carrying a bag or talking on the cellphone; Ensure its on opposite direction to the moving vehicle or motorbike.
7. Walk on opposite direction.
INCASE YOU ARE A VICTIM ALREADY:-
Use the following tips
1. Don't panic
2. Ensure that the belt of the bag that you are carrying has been removed or else you will be dragged for a longer distance and suffer major injuries.
3. Take note of the registration number of the vehicle.
4. After the incident runaway to the side aways; to minimize the chances of being run over by another vehicle.
5. Report to police.

- beba begi lako au handbag kama ni muhimu au toa vitu vya thamani kama ni lazima upite maeneo hatarishi
- Usitumie simu unapotemmbea maeneo hatarishi au usioyajua
- Kama umemeba mkoba wako basi ushikilie na kumbatia kwa makini sana
- Tembelea upande umbao utayaona magari yanapokuja
- sehemu hatarishi hakikisha unatembea na mtu mwingine
- Kama bahati mbaya ndio umebiwa mkoba wako basi usiung'ang'anie, achia mkanda wake kwani waweza kuburuzwa na kusababisha majeraha makubwa zaidi
- chukua namba za gari na ripoti polisi mara moja
