Where do we find happiness?

[God knows]

Every person without any exception thirsts for happiness. But he does not know how and where he can attain it. Invariably he searches for it by acquiring wealth, status, position, name, fame, etc. these may promote happiness but they are not source of happiness.

One may ask what is then the source of real happiness? This question resembles the question of a little fish in the ocean asking “Can you tell me where I can find the ocean?”

The source of happiness is yourself. The real happiness comes from within and not from material being.

In a certain school, there were these words from a wall board which go like this;

If you want happiness for an hour,

Take a nap …………………..​

If you want happiness for a week, ​

Go on a vacation ……………​

​

If you want happiness for a month,​

Get married …………………​

​

If you want happiness for a year,​

Inherit wealth ………………
​

If you want happiness for a lifetime,​

Learn to love …………………​

When it is said happiness lies within yourself... it does not only mean that when you are happy then happiness is really happening constantly... For that happiness to be constant - You have to perceive and acknowledge what makes you happy, taking in mind that those who sorround you have to be happy too; For if they are not' it is not long when that found happiness will expire...
