[h=2]Tanzania[/h] [h=4]Exploration[/h] Block 7, offshore Tanzania, is located in an exciting new province that holds great potential and it represents Mubadala Petroleum’s first entry into sub-Saharan Africa.
We hold a 20 percent interest in the deepwater block, where depths range from 500 to 3,000 meters, and work in partnership with operator Ophir who holds the remaining 80% of the Block. Following a large 3D seismic survey acquired in late 2010, and additional 2D seismic acquired in 2011, we plan to drill the first exploration well in 2013.
Block 7 typifies our intention to seek new, high impact exploration opportunities within the Eastern Hemisphere.

Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi strategic investment company, has acquired a 20 per cent stake in an offshore oil and gas exploration venture in Tanzania for $20m, as international interest in the country's energy industry heats up.
The stake was purchased from London-listed Dominion Petroleum, which will continue to hold the remaining 80 per cent. While Tanzania has yet to begin producing oil, a number of exploration ventures are keen on the prospects of its deep-sea fields, and the country's gas reserves have also sparked interest.
At the end of September, China's Export-Import Bank announced it would loan the country $1bn to finance a new gas pipeline connecting its offshore gas fields to the capital, Dar Es-Salam. Late September also saw the Chinese chemical conglomerate Sichuan Hongda announce plans for about $3bn of industrial investments in Tanzania. Shell recently bought into two Tanzanian deepwater exploration blocks being operated by Brazilian state oil company Petrobras, although financial terms for the deal were not disclosed.
Mubadala's interest could be driven by the possibility of finding another source of natural gas to sell in the Gulf, Dominion's chief executive Andrew Cochran told the FT last week. Mubadala is already a major player in the Gulf's gas market through its majority stake in the $4.8bn Dolphin Energy project, which will send Qatari natural gas through a 364 km pipeline to Abu Dhabi, for sale both in the UAE and Oman.
The Tanzania deal is an example of the scope of Mubadala's investments - which range from small minority interests in oil exploration blocks to multibillion-dollar ownership stakes in microchip manufacturing. Last week, the investment company was reported to be offering its financial firepower to support Sony's bid to buy the EMI record label in a deal worth an estimated $3.5bn-$4bn.

Hili lisredi linakeraaa. Using hooligans to market the company proves that Mubadala is run by lunatics

Ndugu yangu, soma tena thread za NasDaz. Hawa wanaangalia miaka 50-100 ijayo, wakati viongozi wetu hawaoni mbali na pua zao. Kama wana mafuta kuliko sisi, wanatafuta nini kwetu? Tafakari.

BASI NABII HAKUANGALIA KIWANGO CHA OFFER ( ukinisujudu nitakupa yote haya!)

Prof Mhongo is very smart guy, isingekuwa rahisi amkimbize huyo mwekezaji wako pasipokuwa na sababu ya msingi.
USD 20 billion!? (At par or over how many years?)
Lete taarifa ya kutosha kabla ya watu hawajaanza kukosoa hayo maamuzi.

Au tujibu hayo maswali...

kwani hao wanyama wenu wana worth how much?

Wanyama wana thamani.
