Mantra Tanzania Limited (Mantra), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mantra Resources Limited, is focused on the potential development of a Uranium Mine at the Mkuju River Project (MRP) in the Namtumbo District of Ruvuma Region. Mantra is completing a Definitive Feasibility Study for the Project which is managed by DRA of South Africa and has applied to the Government of United Republic of Tanzania for a Special Mining Licence with the aim of commencing mine and plant construction early in 2011.

To that end Mantra is seeking to recruit individuals who can meet the technical requirements and demonstrate a commitment to continuously perform and improve in the area of safety, to fill the above mentioned vacancy.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and technical support to the Mkuju River Project to ensure that all Mantra Tanzania A activities comply with best practice Environmental Management standards.

Reports to: Environmental Manager It.

location: Mkuju River Project

Roster: 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Co-ordinating the water monitoring programme which will include: Sampling, treatment & storage of samples to laboratories Analysis of results Compiling reports

2. Overseeing water management on site (potable, industrial and waste water)

3. Overseeing and ensuring maintenance of the water infrastructure on site

4. Oversee the installation of all water infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Diploma / Degree in water resources engineering or equivalent

2. At least 3 years working experience

3. Experience in water sampling and handling of samples

4. Knowledge of the Water Resources Management Act, 2009 and its water quality requirements

5. Knowledge of the TBS water quality standards

6. Oversee the installation of all water infrastructure
