This applies to both your work and home computers.
Several people have received an email supposedly from CNN with the subject line something like "CNN Daily Top Ten." This email is not from CNN. Based on online articles it is fake and has been and is being sent to millions of email addresses.
If you open the email, do not click on any of the links within it. The links will tell you that you need to update your Flash Player to view the videos. If you agree to install it, you will get infected with a Trojan virus that will download more malware onto your computer. What that malware does is not fully known at the moment.
If you do click a link and are prompted to install a Flash Player, there is no easy way to cancel. If you click Cancel you get put into an endless loop of popup boxes basically asking you to install it otherwise you won't be able to view the video. Clicking OK or Yes will get you out of the loop, but that is not what you want to do. The only way to safely end the cycle is to close out of the browser entirely, most likely by using Task Manager to end the task.
Some antivirus programs are not picking this up yet. If you think you've fallen for this....
