Rare prayers to bring back dead pastors ​

Pastors and faithful of Kingdom Seekers Fellowship International pray for the resurrection of pastors Patrick Wanjohi and Francis Ndetei, who died in a road accident last week​

They came from the four corners of the country and even neighbouring Uganda with one mission - to pray for a miracle.

Two pastors in the Kingdom Seekers Fellowship International church were killed in a road accident on Monday last week and the faithful believed that God would resurrect them if they prayed hard enough.

Their death in a car that rolled on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway, the faithful believed, was the work of the devil and the miracle was to shame the evil one.

"Our pastors have been perishing in road accidents and it is time for us to shame the devil, who is behind the tragedies," Pastor John Kamau William, the church's general overseer, announced to the congregation outside their church in Nakuru.

There was a large congregation of faithful and curious onlookers who were eager to witness the resurrection.

Word had gone round the town that a miracle was to happen during the requiem mass for pastors Patrick Wanjohi Wanja and Francis Kamau Ndetei.

So, when the caskets carrying the remains of the two were taken to the church, crowds of people milled around to see what would happen.

The neutral people in the crowd were amazed by the aggressive and drawn out prayers that the believers engaged in.

Even a heavy downpour that pounded Nakuru as the prayers went on did not dampen their spirits. In fact, the sudden rains were seen as a sign that the miracle was about to happen. The prayers continued with even more vigour.

Scores of pastors surrounded the caskets and cried out to God for more than an hour.

At one point, Pastor Ndetei's widow, went to the tent where the coffin was placed and shook it as she hysterically pleaded with God to raise her husband.

Another worshipper pushed the coffins in an attempt to stir the dead pastors to wake up from their "deep sleep." Nothing happened.

By this time, one could sense doubts creeping into the minds of some of the faithful. To banish any such thoughts, Apostle Steven Bulungi from Uganda chased away the doubting Thomases.

He kept on telling the congregation that they were not being "fanatical or emotional" enough. '‘You are practising the word of God," he exhorted them.

Nevertheless, the worshippers eventually lost hope. One of the pastors announced: "Some miracles do not happen instantly, as was the case when Jesus cursed the fig tree."

Speaking as a christian, what they are doing is absurd. Of-course in Jesus name dead can be raised, but with a purpose and a special reasons, and all miraclea are meant to show people who dont believe!

The irrational nature of faith is funny. No one comes back from death... No one. Especially a fatal trauma case like this, these people are just so caught up in myths that they fail to see reality. How can someone come back from a fatal car accident.lol

Kufufuka inawezekana kabisa. Yesu ndiye ufufuo na uzima.

Wakati anajiandaa kumfufua Lazaro, Mariam na Martha walifikiri anazungumzia ufufuo siku ya kiama.

Kilichoshindikana kwa hawa jamaa ni mambo yafuatayo:

1. Yesu hakumuweka Lazaro kwenye jeneza, wala si yeye aliyemzika, sasa hawa jamaa miili wameiweka wenyewe kwenye jeneza tayari kuzikwa halafu wanaomba ufufuo, hapo hakuna Imani.

2. Yesu alikuwa anakesha milimani akiomba, mpaka kesho yake anapoingia hekaluni uweza wa Mungu unakuwepo kuponya, leo hii wachungaji wanakesha wakisengenyana, wamegeuza makanisa miradi, hapo hakuna uweza wa Mungu bali uweza wa mwekundu wa msimbazi ambao hauwezi kufufua.

3. Yesu alifufua kwa utukufu wa Mungu, hao jamaa wanataka mtu afufuke kwa uchungu binafsi walio nao, na wengine ili wajaze makanisa mapato yaongezeke, hapo Mungu hashawishiki kufufua.

4. Makanisa ya sasa yamemfukuza Roho mtakatifu na kumkaribisha roho ya fedha itawale, sasa bila Roho mtakatifu ufufuo utatokea wapi? Leo hii ukiingia makanisa yao unaendesha Hummer unapewa uzee wa Kanisa siku hiyo hiyo. Kuna ufufuo hapo?

5. Wakristo wa leo wanaogopa uchawi, shetani na kifo kuliko Mungu. Mungu anasema akiogopacho muovu ndicho kimpatacho. Leo hii ukitaka watu waache kusikiliza neno la Mungu na wakusikilize wewe masaa yote wewe danganya kuwa ulikuwa mchawi na sasa umeokoka. Wataacha mambo yote ya maana kanisani ili wasikilize ulivyokuwa mchawi mahiri Afrika nzima ukichezea mapadre, wachungaji na mashehe.

Naomba niishie hapo. Ufufuo unawezekana kabisa isipokuwa mwana wa adamu atakaporudi JE ATAIKUTA IMANI DUNIANI?

Hapa ndo kweli sisi tunaonekana ni wanadamu, kimsingi Mungu hana ubaya na mwanadamu kwasababau yoyote na Mungu hakumkatilia Mwanadamu kufanya/ kuaamini chochote ispokuwa dhambi. Kwa Mambo ya imani Mungu amempa mwanadamu Heshima ya juu kabisa ya kuamini lolote na na kutenda kwa imani kubwa na litatendeka bila kujali Mungu alisha amua nini juu ya jambo hilo.
Kwa mfano Ezekieli aliambiwa na MUNGU utakufa lakini yeye akaamini kuishi na akamuomba MUNGU kuishi na akaishi, Mama mjane alifiwa na mtoto wake mbele ya mtumishi wa MUNGU Elisha au Elia(Sina kumbukumbu vizuli kati ya hao wawili) Naye akaomba na akaishi.

Swala ndugu zangu hapa sio kwamba mtu akifa kwa kifo chochote hawezi kurudi, swala ni kumshawishi MUNGU aruidi aje kufanya nini? Kinacho mtachi MUNGU ni sababu yakumrudisha mtu huyo lakini kurudi sio isue.

Nanapenda kusisitiza hapa na sijui kwanini tunalogwa eneo hili. Ili imani ionekane kuwa ni imani thabiti lazima ifanye kazi ambayo wengine watashangaa, na kama imani zetu zitabakia kufukuza mapepo tu; nafikiri tunahitaji kutafakari makuuzi ya imani zetu, tunazo ahadi za kufanya kazi zaidi ya alizo fanya bwana YESU je ni kazi ipi ambayo sisi wanadamu tumefanya hadi YESU ashangae?

Hapa ni upungufu tunahitaji kutafakari zaidi.

Mungu anasema watu wangu wanaangamia kwa kukosa maarifa. Sote pamoja na hao wafiwa na hao mapastor tunataka kwenda mbinguni. Mbinguni huendi bila ya kufa iwe kwa ajali, maradhi, kuzama baharini, umri na kadhalika. Kifo siyo laana wala balaa. Unapokufa roho yako inakuwa imelivua joho au koti ambalo ni mwili wako. Ndipo waenda mbinguni. Sasa hao waliokuwa wanafanya maombi hayo walikuwa hawako kirohoni hata kidogo bali walitegemea akili zao ambayo ni mwilini. Nina hakika hao marehemu walikuwa wanachukizwa na matendo yao. Wenzao wako kwenye raha ya pepo wao wanahangaika wanataka warudi hapo duniani ambako Yesu alituambia kuwa kumejaa dhiki. Ama kweli njia iendayo mbinguni ni nyembamba mno na ile iendayo jehanamu ni pana na wengi wataenda huko.
