Watu 13 wamefariki dunia kufuatia vurugu za mapigano zilizotokea katika chuo kikuu cha Kogi katika eneo la Ayingba nchini Nigeria.
Kwa mujibu wa habari kutoka katika vyanzo vya nchi hio, mapigano hayo yalitokea baina ya makundi mawili ya wanafunzi, kutokana na vurugu hizo za mapigano zaidi ya wanafunzi 13 wamefariki dunia huku wengi zaidi wakiwa wamejeruhiwa.
Msemaji wa polisi katika jimbo la Kogi, Hakeem Busari alitoa taarifa kwamba timu za usalama zimetumwa katika eneo hilo, na kwamba uchunguzi kuhusiana na na tukio hilo umeanza.

No fewer than 13 students of the Kogi State University, Ayingba, have been killed by unidentified persons suspected to be members of a secret cult.The killings according to eyewitnesses started last week Friday, when nine students, including a 200 level female student and her boyfriend, were hacked down on the campus and at different points.
Channels Television gathered that some of the victims were attacked on Stadium Road and Our Lady of Fatima’s Lodge where they were brutally murdered and their body dismembered by their assailants. Among those killed were Oloruntoba Godwin, a 300 Level student of Geography, and Ajileye Richard of the Department of Accountancy (200 Level). Both of them were said to be indegenes of Ijumu Local Government Area of the state.
