THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA MINISTERIAL TENDER BOARD MINISTRY OF FINANCE
TENDER NO. 7 OF 2007/2008 FOR SUPPLY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY HARDWARE AND CONSUMABLES ACCOUNTANT GENERAL'S OFFICE (VOTE 23)
Date: 27th September, 2007

1. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Ministry of Finance during the financial year 2007/2008. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Supply of IT Hardware and Consumables for Accountant General's office (Vote 23).
2. The Ministry of Finance now invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers of goods as shown below:

3. Tenderers may quote for one or more lots, but in any case, must quote for all items and quantities specified in each lot. Partial quotes/Tenders will not be accepted. The Ministry of Finance will evaluate the Tenders and award the contract to the most competitive Tenderer on a lot basis.

4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non-Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2005 Government Notice No. 97 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.

5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Ministerial Tender Board, PAT Building, Madaraka Avenue/Shaaban Robert Street/Luthuli Street, P.O Box 9111, Dar Es Salaam, from 7:30 am to 3.30 pm, Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on Public Holidays.

6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TZS 50,000/= (Tanzanian Shillings Fifty Thousand). Payment should either be by Cash, Banker's Draft, or Banker's Cheque, payable to Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, P.O Box 9111, Dar Es Salaam.

7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security of two point five percent (2.5%) of the proposed total contract value, in freely convertible currency.

8. All tenders in one original plus two (2) copies are required to be properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes and delivered to, Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, PAT Building, Madaraka Avenue/Shaaban Robert Street/Luthuli Street, P.O Box 9111, Dar Es Salaam at or before 10.00 hours local time on Monday 12th November 2007

9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline for submission in Public and in the presence of Service provider's representatives who choose to attend in the PAT Conference Room of the Ministry of Finance, Madaraka Avenue/Shaaban Robert Street/Luthuli Street-Dar es Salaam. Envelopes containing the tender document sent by post must be registered and shall be clearly marked: -
10. TENDER NO. 6 OF 2007/2008 FOR SUPPLY OF OFFICE STATIONERY, COMPUTER STATIONERY AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT (VOTE 50) NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 10.00 HOURS LOCAL TIME ON WEDNESDAY, 7TH NOVEMBER, 2007. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received, tenders not opened at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
