It's great to analyze all these circumstances and be critical of the government. However, the more critical issue is, where do we fit in? What have we specifically, as individuals done to condone govt's inaction? How many have thought of volunteering to go to these areas and educate ward leaders, children and general members of our respective societies on how to better their lives, clean neighborhoods, establish playgrounds for children, forming citizen policing (not to be confused by minute-man type of policing) etc?
The great JFK said in his inaugural speech "...ask not what your country can do for you, ask what can you do for your country". Every Tanzanian should take charge of whatever talent they have to improve lives of other Tanzanians. If you're a good writer, then write; if you're a journalist, practice good/responsible journalism; if you're a teacher, God bless you and continue to teach; if you're a good mobilizer, mobilize people to clean their surroundings, take care of their families, etc. Let us do all these things on volunteer basis because we can't wait for money or govt to do so. We've waited for 47 years and little has been done.
