    [FONT=&quot]Purpose of the position:[/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]To provide technical support in Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation within WVT programs[/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]Observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others[/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]Major Responsibilities:[/FONT]

    • [FONT=&quot]Ensure that Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy is integrated (mainstreamed) at all level of program cycle (Assessment, Design, Implementation, monitoring and evaluation) in WVT programs [/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Coordinate development and implementation of National office Child protection, Gender and Advocacy strategy and plan in alignment with the National, Regional and Global child protection, gender and advocacy strategies, priorities and policies [/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Coordinate Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy capacity building to staff Board Members and community representatives [/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Ensure quality investigation of Level 1, 2 and 3 child protection incident allegations, under the direction and support of World Vision International (WVI) Child Protection. [/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Ensure that internal (operations), Global Centre (GC) Child Protection gender and advocacy audit recommendations are timely responded to and fully implemented [/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Review Child Protection, Gender and advocacy reports, ensure documentation and dissemination of promising practices [/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Participate in Child Protection, Gender and advocacy networks, coalitions and policy influencing forums [/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Ensure that performance management is practiced within the department to enhance performance, smooth staff relations and accountability [/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Reporting - Complete a Child protection Policy Compliance/ update report every six months and ensure confidentiality, timely, objective, accurate and reliable information reporting from WVT on Child protection incidents reports. [/FONT]

    • [FONT=&quot]Provide technical support in the development of concept papers, proposal writing, and engage in negotiation with potential donors [/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot] [/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]Minimum Qualification required[/FONT][FONT=&quot]: Bachelor Degree in Law, Community Development or Social Sciences[/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]Experience:[/FONT][FONT=&quot] 3 years in Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy[/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]Technical Skills & Abilities:[/FONT]

    • [FONT=&quot]Computer skills especially in Statistical Packages.[/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Demonstrated ability in monitoring and supervision[/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Computer skills.[/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Gender/ policy Analysis skills[/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Gender Self Assessment skills[/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Advocacy lobbying, dialogue and networking skills[/FONT]
    • [FONT=&quot]Skills in research, report writing, project designs, monitoring and evaluation[/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]Other Competencies/Attributes[/FONT][FONT=&quot]:[/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]• Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities. [/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]• Perform other duties as required [/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]Minimum Qualification required[/FONT][FONT=&quot]: BA in social sciences and other related fields[/FONT]
    · [FONT=&quot]Experience: [/FONT][FONT=&quot] 3 years in Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy[/FONT][FONT=&quot][/FONT]
    · [FONT=&quot]Preferred:[/FONT][FONT=&quot] Masters in law, Community Development or Social Sciences[/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot]Other Technical Skills & Abilities:[/FONT][FONT=&quot][/FONT]
    § [FONT=&quot]Interpersonal and communication skills[/FONT]
    § [FONT=&quot]Computer skills.[/FONT]
    § [FONT=&quot]Skills in report writing.[/FONT]
    § [FONT=&quot]Good command of spoken, writing English and Swahili.[/FONT]
    § [FONT=&quot]Basic Knowledge in Child Sponsorship.[/FONT]
    § [FONT=&quot]Willingness to learn and Learn and efficiently.[/FONT]
    § [FONT=&quot]Ability to work quickly and efficiently.[/FONT]
