Napongeza kwa dhati juhudi za Rais wetu kulifufua shirika letu la ndege Air Tanzania Ltd.
Mimi nilipanda kwa mara ya kwanza ndegeza ATC mwaka 1982 na safari ya kwanza kabisa ilikuwa kutoka Dar-Arusha-Musoma, kwa ndege aina ya Fokker Friendship 50.
Miaka hiyo kuna Boeing 737 mbili, Fokker nafikiri tatu au nne na ndege ndogo za Twin Otter zilizokuwa kanda ya Ziwa.
Hapo ndio upeo mkubwa uliowahi kufikiwa na ATC, na management ikisaidiwa nafikiri na waholanzi.
Kilichoiangusha ATC wakati huo ni POOR MANAGEMENT baada ya waholanzi kuwaachia kina Lawrence Mmasi aliyekuwa mkurugenzi mkuu.
Management ya airlines ni fani ya pekee.
Ground support services lazima ziwe intact.
Nazo ni supply services kama mafuta, lubricants,chakula,hoteli kwa staff nk
Engineering services kama spares, engine
Onehaul, airframe checks, na hata airwothiness checks.
Strategic marketing, lazima ndege kila flight ijae kwa kiasi fulani ili gharama zote zirudi, na ikijaa zaidi ni faida
Cost management, gharama za uendeshaaji lazima ziwe CHINI DAIMA ya kipato yaani total income kutokana na airfares na air transportation sevices.

Maana yangu hapa ni lazima tujifunze toka makampuni kama Ethiopian Airlines, tuwe na hangar madhubuti ya maintaainance sasa hivi haipo hapa Dar.

Bila ya hayo machache, tutakuwa na ndege za kutosha lakini moja baada ya nyingine zaweza kusimama kutokana na huduma hafifu.
