Hello Mmeru. Kwanza kabisa nani atakuwa mteja wako? Jee utatumia mbinu gani kuwapata wateja wako? Jee biashara iko katika hali gani kiushindani? Jee biashara inashikwa na sheria zozote za serikali? Jee ni sheria gani?

Jee kunaitajika equipment zozote? Jee kunaitajika software yoyote? Jee ni kiasi gani cha fedha kinaitajika kuanzia?
Haya ni maswali machache unayobidi ujiulize kwanza. Kisha baada ya hapo develop idea kwenye big picture, kisha put your idea into the paper. Then create strategy ya kushindana.

Nadhani tunaweza kuanzia hapo, kama una idea ziweke hapa tuzijadili.

Tatizo baadhi ya hizo strategies zina work only katika nchi ambazo zina high disposable income (U.S. et la), where people are drived by their "wants" and not "needs." Katika nchi kama Tanzania, hizo strategies zitabaki kuwa "fancy" strategies for a little longer. Well, eventually, they'll come to life! In the meantime, ni muhimu kutumia mbinu ambazo zitaendana na mazingira ya tabia za wateja katika nchi husika.

Sasa tuziangalia kwanza hizi biashara mbili, internet and stationary. Biashara hizi ni services business, hakuna product yoyote mteja anayopata kwa kufanya biashara na wewe, ila anapata huduma. Kwa hiyo rule namba one ni kuboresha hudama. Unaweza kujifunza njia bora za kuboresha huduma, kisha ukawa watrain wafanya kazi wako. Kuna njia nyingi sana za kuongeza customer service satisfaction. Moja wapo ni kuongeza quality ya huduma, kuset fair price, kutilia maanani malalamiko ya wateja ( very important).

Avoid kutafuta njia ya haraka, make sure unatengeza njia strong, na itakayo maintain wateja wako.

Moja ya njia ni kutengeza database ya wateja wako, kila mteja anapokuja muombe asign membership for free. Mwambie hiyo member ship kila anapokuja internet cafe au stationary yako atakuwa ana pata point kadhaa na kila akifikisha point kadhaa then atapata huduma fulani free. Example, mteja akija internet cafe for 1 hr atapata 2points. Akiongeza 1 more hours anapata 2 more points, akifikisha ten points anapata labda half an hour bure. au akifikisha 10points with in 3 days then anapata 1 hour. Make sure unabadilisha badilisha promotion kama hizi ili kuwafanya wateja wako wawe more exited. Mfano fanya study na angalia ni muda gani kunakuwa hakuna watu wengi, yani kupo slow... let say mida ya saa saba na saa tisa ni slow wateja wapo wachache, then unaweza kuintroduce kitu utakacho kiita HAPPY HOUR. Yaani Pay one hour and get one more hour free. Au make 10 copies and get 5 copy free. Au Free SCANNER kwa mtu yoyote aliyelipia one hour.

Duka la nguo ni biashara ina husu product. Hapa inaweza kuwa challange sana. Kwanza kabisa sheria namba one, RULE OF LAW usiweke nguo kwenye duka kwa more than 60 days. Yaani ni mwiko nguo kuwepo kwenye hanger kwa zaidi ya miezi miwili. Hivyo basi, always zile nguo unazoziona zimekaa muda mrefu akikisha zinakwenda kwenye promotion. Kumbuka always promotion lazima urudishe pesa yako uliyonunulia, yaani unaweza kuongeza mark up kwenye brand new inventory na kushusha price kwenye ile ya dhamani. Mfano, Nunua moja na pata nyingine kutoka kwenye shelf X (old inventory) kwa nusu price. Hii itamvutia mteja, kumbuka umeongeza markup kwenye brand new inventory, na umekata price kwa nusu kwenye old inventory.

Hii ni moja ya strategies ambazo haziwezi kufanya kazi Bongo kwa sasa hivi. Kwa mazingira ya kibishara ya Bongo, 60days ni siku chache mno kushusha nguo chini.

Kwanza maduka mengi ya nguo Bongo inventory yote waliyokuwa nayo iko kwenye flow. Na re-order ya inventory haifanyika mpaka baada ya miezi kadhaa. Kwa hiyo, idea ya kushusha nguo kila baada ya miezi 2 is simply not workable....for now!

Second, Wajue wateja wako, nini wanapenda kununua, jee ni wanatabia gani ya ununuzi? Jee wanaonekana wana kipato cha kiasi gani? Baada ya hapo unaweza kununua nguo kutokana na demand ya wateja wako. Avoid kununu inventory kwa sababu wewe umeipenda then wateja wote watapenda. Make sure wafanyakazi wako wanawatambua wateja kwa majina yao ya kwanza. Na kila wanapofika dukani, then wafanyakazi wako wanaonyesha uchangamfu ( kumbuka uchangamfu lakini keep it professional). Bishara nyingi za Tanzania zina bargaining, basi unaweza kutengeneza njia ya kubargain. Labda waambie wafanya kazi wako nguo such and such unaweza kutoa only 500, lakini mteja akinunua mbili then unaweza kutoa 1200 kwa both close. If and only if akitaka bargain.

Kingine make sure una kuwa na different sales promotion kila week. Laabda week hii jumatano only, Red Rose Sales yaani baadhi ya nguo fulani 10% off. Swala ni kuongeza customer turnover kwenye duka lako.

Tatizo market ya Tanzania inafanya kazi kwa "word-of-mouth" kwa ufanisi zaidi. Wateja wengi wanakwenda kununua bidhaa kwenye duka fulani kutokana na recommendation kutoka kwa mtu/watu fulani. Kwa hiyo utakuwa surprised kuona hata hizo promotion zinaweza zisifanye kazi kadri ya mategemeo. It's always worth to try though.

Kusema kweli sijawai kufanya consultant huko nyumbani, na nimeondoka wakati sijui anything concern biashara. Lakini kuna cornestone ambazo kila biashara ina hitaji ili kushindana na kuongeza sales.

Baada ya kuimpliment new strategy, always inatakiwa uevaluate every now and then kuona kama unafikia kwenye lengo ambapo ni Increasing of Revenue, without hiking up the cost.

Nafikiri the key is Marginal Revenue (Kiswahili?) ya business yako. Marginal Revenue (MR) ni nyongeza ya mauzo (revenue) inayotokana na uuzaji wa bidhaa ya ziada. Mfano, kama mwezi wa 7 ulitegemea kuuza bidhaa 10, halafu ukaishia kuuza bidhaa 12, basi zile bidhaa mbili za ziada ulizouza ndizo zinazo make-up MR. Sasa kadri MR inavyoongezeka ndivyo sign ya kwamba biashara yako inakuwa.

Ongezeko la faida halimaanishi kuwa biashara yako inakuwa. Kuna njia mbalimbali ambazo zinaweza kusababisha faida kuongezeka ingali mauzo yako palepale. Mfano, ukipunguza gharama ya uendeshaji wa biashara yako, basi kuna kila hali ya faida kuongezeka. Lakini hii haimanishi kuwa biashara yako inakuwa.
