3G ni rating ya spidi ambayo network inaweza kutoa, kwa bahati mbaya hakuna namba yoyote ambayo inakubalika kuwa 3G ndo inaanzia au kuishia. Pia kwa vile una network ambayo inaweza kutoa spidi za 3G haina maana kuwa inatoa spidi za 3G, kwa hiyo jihadhari na hilo.

After all the movement from First Generation of mobile Technology(1[SUP]st[/SUP]Generation i.e. 1G) that includes the GSM(Global System for Mobilecommunication)whereby the customer was able to make and receive voice calls aswell as sending and receiving sms.
Innovation paved its way to Second Generation(2[SUP]nd[/SUP] Generationi.e. 2G)whereby GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) was added to GSM to enablethe internet service access on the mobile phones whereby the customer was nowable to make and receive voice calls , sending and receiving sms as wellas accessing the internet service.
Further innovation stepped the Second Generation to Third Generation(3[SUP]rd[/SUP]Generation i.e. 3G) in which High Speed PacketData Access(HSPDA) was defined.
In this 3G , the cell phone users are not onlycapable of making voice calls but also video calls as well as watching streaming links(hapa waweza angalia movies,mpira etc kwenye simu yako yenye uwezo wa 3G. kifupi speed ya internet yako ni kubwa kuliko kwenye simu za 2G.
