As many of you are aware of the scandal regarding the Uhuru Park in Moshi, it is mind boggling to note that todate the Goverment have not take any actions against the people who signed the contract i.e Director Bernadetta Kinabo(who was a few years ago 'sacked from Arusha Municipal), the Mayor Kaaya, Ex Solicitor Suleman Kanga and Engineer Thaddei Mlingi, by extending an existing contract to that of a new one along with a title deed of 33 years.
This scandal generate alot of concern from the community and since the majority of councillors were those of CCM, the heat was felt all the way to pillars to party and a decision to revoke the contract was forced upon them!
In issamichuzi blog today, the following pictures were shown clearly indicating the frustrations of the Chadema councillors wherein the main and only agenda was to revoke the 'new/extended' contract with a title deed but it turned out to be fiasco. Sadly though, the previous contract remain in force until 2017 and the deeds by the director etc to provide a title deed and extend the contract over an existing one is a clear case of mockery if not that of having some 'interest' in the same!The gross negligence should not be treated with dire punishments.
My friends in Moshi further inform me that apparently Kinabo has some interest in the company Discover Heritage Tanzania and apart from this, she is also preparing as- a retirement package- by securing open space plots in her relatives names. One being a plot behind the BP petrol station on the famous 'double road' (Mawenzi Road) which has been turned into a private parking space by her brother in law Abdul Kinabo who also happens to be councillor.
