The debacle in the court rooms shows that Trump isn’t a strategic leader. He thinks whatever worked for him in his business dealings and in 2016 campaign will work for him in 2020. For example, from the beginning, smart people have told him that in a real court you have to present facts and evidence regardless of whether you are right or wrong. He hasn’t listened to that yet. So, I don’t know what he is up to. He looks silly to me.

Now with regard to your last point, I am not one of those individuals who totally rely on the past events or history to predict the future. Yes, it is true that the system of government in the US is very robust and resilient to social and economic challenges. However, I don’t believe that the same system with the same types of people will continue to be effective even in the future. I think, Americans have become complacency and take everything for granted. I say this because the number of votes that Trump garnered is staggering. If Trump is crazy as we try to think, this election wasn’t supposed to be that close. A good number of people voted for him and have embraced Trump’s agenda: America First. However, the same group of people don’t want to invest in areas which would make the country competitive.

All nations are designed to last for eternity. Not that I say they will, but they think/wish they will. Trump got more than 10million votes than he got in 2016. He got the most votes than any previous incumbent. If he is indeed Crazy, those who vote for him are the craziest. Trouble with being crazy is that one sees the rest of population as the crazy ones. So, likewise Trump supporters see the other side as being the crazy ones for voting for Biden. That's how polarizing this election has been. Obviously, 99% population of USA is not crazy, at least not with the classical definition of craze. Just that they have differing political opinions.

Actually, there’s a sort of culture war going on in America. We don’t see it because it hasn’t reached the fever pitch yet or because some of us are acquainted to social justice kind of politics, and we rely heavily on left leaning media outlets such as CNN for our daily dose of information. Therefore, we view Trump and those who voted for him from a very different angle. However, for Americans, in particular poor and working-class white Americas, he is an unlikely cult hero.

They regard him as a hero or one them for one or two reasons. First, they see him as a problem solver who can use his business experience to bring their former glories back on track. So, they overlook other characteristics which are normally ascribed to the president of the US. Second, they see him as the repudiation of the political establishment. By establishment, I mean career politician from both parties who have failed to address the economic decay for the middle-class families.

The use of labels with negative connotations to characterize Trump, his presidency and his supporters doesn’t paint the real picture or help the matter. This is the guy who has just added 10 million votes to his 2016 election tally. So, we can’t just call his supporters the craziest bunch and move on to another item. In fact, if we take a pause and step back to 2008 and 2016, we will find out that some of his supporters voted for Baraka Obama twice or at least once. So, the question one could ask now is what type of conversion these voters have gone through between 2008 and 2020? Additionally, can we say that they were rational voters when they voted for Baraka Obama and become insane when they voted for Trump?
