pROBLEM SIYO KUITWA KWENYE INTERVIEW HATA HUKO HAUITWI KABISA.

Asanteni

ONLY SIX IMPORTANT ITEMS TO BE COVERED IN A CV

1. Personal details

Name, home address, college address, phone number, email address.

2. Education

Give places of education where you have studied - most recent education first. Include subject options taken in each year of your course. Include any special project, thesis, or dissertation work. Pre-college courses (high school, etc.) should then be included, including grades. Subjects taken and passed just before college will be of most interest. Earlier courses, taken may not need much detail.

3. Work experience

List your most recent experience first. Give the name of your employer, job title, and very important, what you actually did and achieved in that job. Part-time work should be included.

4. Interests
They will be particularly interested in activities where you have leadership or responsibility, or which involve you in relating to others in a team. Give only enough detail to explain. If you have been involved in any type of volunteer work, do give details.

5. Skills

Ability in other languages, computing experience, or possession of a driving licence should be included.

6. References

Usually give two names - one from your place of study, and one from any work situation you have had. Or if this does not apply, then an older family friend who has known you for some time. Make sure that referees are willing to give you a reference. Give their day and evening phone numbers if possible.

OTHER NECESSARY DETAILS TO CONSIDER
LENGTH

Maybe all you need to say will fit onto one sheet of A4. But do not crowd it - you will probably need two sheets. Do not normally go longer than this. Put page numbers at the bottom of the pages - a little detail that may impress.

STYLE: There are two main styles of CV, with variations within them.

(a) Chronological- Information is included under general headings - education, work experience, etc., with the most recent events first.

(b) Skills based - You think through the necessary skills needed for the job you are applying for. Then you list all your personal details under these skill headings. This is called 'targeting your CV'.

Covering letter

When sending in a CV or job application form, you must include a covering letter. The purpose of the letter is to make sure that the CV arrives on the desk of the correct person. Sometimes if not restricted, take the trouble to telephone, and find the name of the person who will be dealing with applications or CVs, and address your letter, and envelope, to that person by name.

NB: To persuade the person to read your CV, your letter:
(i) must be relevant to the company, interesting, and well produced;
(ii) Explains what sort of work you are interested in precisely. When sending a speculative CV, you may try telephoning later to push your enquiry further.
(iii) Explains why you want that particular job with that particular employer (draw attention to one or two key points in the CV which you feel make you suited to that particular job with that particular employer)

Remember to proof read you CV before submitting for an application. It is always advised that as you can't be the best author on your own, try to give another competent person to read you CV!.

Hapa ndipo watu wengi wanakosea. Unatakiwa uweke work experience (kama unayo) kabla ya education. Kumbuka waajiri wanapokea CV nyingi sana na wanaangalia page ya kwanza ya CV kwa haraka haraka ili wajue ni ujuzi gani ambao unao na utaleta nini kwenye kampuni yao. Kwa kifupi iwe hivi;
Personal Details, Profile (mfano: An enthusiastic person with very good customer service skills and ability to use initiative to solve a challenge. Highly organised, motivated, punctual and always prepared to undertake further training). Skills, Achievement (kazini au shuleni), Work experience, Job related training & Education.

This is very important, nashukuru Hebrew umeligundua hili na kuliweka hapa, ni kweli CV zetu nyingi huwa zina makorokoro mengi sana mwanzoni halafu those important details tunaziweka mwishoni na kimsingi inatupunguzia hata mvuto kwa anayekuajiri na panelist nzima ya usaili. Thanks alot Hebrew and other members who are still giving important details

Dear Ms. Prince:

As I indicated in our telephone conversation yesterday, I would like to apply for the marketing research position you advertised in the March 12th edition of the Roanoke Times and World News. With my undergraduate research background, my training in psychology and sociology, and my work experience, I believe I could make a valuable contribution to Large National Bank Corporation in this position.

In May I will complete my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. As part of the requirements for this degree, I am involved in a senior marketing research project that has given me experience interviewing and surveying research subjects and assisting with the analysis of the data collected. I also have completed a course in statistics and research methods.

In addition to academic work, my experience also includes working part-time as a bookkeeper in a small independent bookstore with an annual budget of approximately $150,000. Because of the small size of this business, I have been exposed to and participated in most aspects of managing a business, including advertising and marketing. As the bookkeeper, I produced monthly sales reports that allow the owner/buyer to project seasonal inventory needs.

I also assisted with the development of ideas for special promotional events and calculated book sales proceeds after each event in order to evaluate its success.

I believe that the combination of my business experience and social science research training is well-suited to the marketing research position you described. I have enclosed a copy of my resume with additional information about my qualifications. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to receiving your reply.
Sincerely,

Jessica Lawrence

7. Hobbies 8. References: andika available on request.)
