ABOUT VANGUARD AFRICA
Founded in 2016, Vanguard Africa represents the synthesis of best practices in campaign management with the mission-driven focus of a pro-democracy organization. We have convened previously isolated networks -- campaign consultants, government and public relations experts, business leaders and human rights advocates -- to provide unrivaled access and strategic solutions for pro-democracy leaders.

To date, our cutting edge ( something that gives someone or something an advantage over others ) has been featured in a range of high profile media outlets including: Newsweek, CNN, Le Monde, World Politics Review, Delayed Gratification Magazine, Ozy.com, and the Huffington Post, among others. In September 2017, our executive director was honored by the Government of The Gambia and President Adama Barrow as a "Champion for Democracy" due to our efforts in the country's pro-democracy struggle that resulted in the first peaceful transfer of power in the country's history.

TESTIMONIALS
"When the world was silent to our suffering, Vanguard Africa was there to shine a light. When others told us our cause was lost, when others ignored our pleas for help, Vanguard Africa was there, always, to extend a hand. Our gratitude and our appreciation is unending."
-His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia

"For five decades, my country of Togo has been ruled by a dictatorship. Never have we gotten as much international attention as when Vanguard Africa stepped in to help us amplify our struggle for democracy and justice. We are grateful for the support Vanguard Africa has provided to raise awareness on the grave human rights violations, as well as its massive advocacy efforts to help the people of Togo overcome tyranny and misrule."
-Farida Nabourema, Director of the Togolese Civil League (Togo)

“I would like to genuinely thank Vanguard Africa for the great support to our cause of democracy in Djibouti, where we have been fighting for social change since 1992. Since we started working with Vanguard Africa in 2017, our relations network and our visibility have significantly progressed, especially in the United States. We hope this work continues where it is much needed, in Djibouti and elsewhere in Africa.”
-
Daher Ahmed Farah, President of Movement for Democratic Renewal and Development (Djibouti)

"The magic of Vanguard Africa is their deep understanding of the continent today. Their counsel reveals an understanding of the different systems and institutions at play, always placing human rights, freedom of the press and the fight against corruption as the pillars that guide their action. This approach is testimony of their concern for ordinary citizens yearning for a better life."
-Akere Muna, founder of Transparency International-Cameroon and 2018 presidential candidate (Cameroon)

"The corrupt networks that currently comprise the core of many states are deadly. They kill with impunity to accumulate. Occasionally they will threaten someone like me who can make noise and be heard. But mostly, it's the poor who disappear into a broken criminal justice system. This is why Vanguard Africa’s platform and voice are essential.”
-John Githongo, award winning anti-corruption campaigner and CEO of Inuka Kenya Trust (Kenya)

“Africa's important need to own the century must start with deepening a participatory democratic culture, instituting electoral integrity, and respecting the rights of our people. Vanguard Africa is a valued and trusted partner in these endeavors.”
-Dapo Olorunyomi, Premium Times editor-in-chief (Nigeria)

"It is absolutely critical to have genuine, outspoken organizations – especially in advanced democracies – that are dedicated to advancing justice and dignity for African nations enslaved by repression. In these efforts, Vanguard Africa is a leading partner for me and my colleagues."
-Eddy Gicheru Oketch, founder of Ongoza and independent senate candidate (Kenya)

A true honor this week to host MP Tundu Lissu from #Tanzania. Mr. Lissu survived a brazen assassination attempt in 2017 and is - quite literally - still standing tall. His brave leadership on human rights, democracy and the rule of law is crucial for the country’s advancement.

Many poor Tanzanians who are struggling on daily basis to get a simple daily meal, clean and safe water ,shelter and descent hospital care are disturbed to see how can someone like Tundu lissu who came from similar poor enviroment was able to afford expensive medical care abroad sometimes relaxing with a glass of Chimay on his hospital bed!!
View attachment 1018154

Many Poor Tanzanians are asking themselves why Tundu lissu and his party leaders refused to sort medical care at Super specialiality goverment hospital namely Muhimbili Hospital and insisted to go outside Tanzania while ignoring and preventing Parliamentary ways of handling sick MPs.?

Authorities are asking themselves how come the driver who was with Tundu lissu escaped unhurt from the car which was hit with more than 38 bullets through left front door /side and by miracle hit Tundu lissu on his right side.
Thereafter the driver has been hiding from meeting the Tanzania Police instead he is roaming around the globe and sometimes enjoying media interviews.

Here is the answer.....

Tundu lissu is just another "catch" of an Amercan Agent who gain wealth by destroying Africa and Africanized Good Goverments for benefit and interests of USA.

Jeffrey Smith of an NGO Vanguard Africa is the one who is sponsoring Tundu lissu probably from the days even before Magufuli came into power...Tundu lissu has became another unpatriotic and greedy African puppet person who happen to sit on the lap of a Trophy hunter calling himself Agent of Change.

Who is Jefrey Smith.....follow this truncated piece of an article from our neighbour Malawian..

Jeffrey Smith, masquerades as an American human rights activist, but in all honesty, he is a ‘Regime Change Agent’ in Africa. By his own admission he also provided U.S. Government contacts with regular programming and political updates for the African continent.

This definitely ‘bought’ him a few ‘new friends’… Smith is currently the Executive Director of Vanguard Africa, ‘a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting free and fair election processes and consolidating pro-democracy forces in Sub Saharan Africa’ and also dedicated to… protecting the interests of the US government in the continent.

Smith extensively uses social media to advance his evil agenda. He engages formidable Public Relations manipulators to achieve his goals. He is a master of the ‘framing effect’.

He was allegedly involved in Gambia’s regime change in 2016; he helped oust the-then President Yayah Jammeh and put in his place a US-friendly figure, Adama Barrow…all for the good of the Gambian people of course…not for the capitalist American pockets.

He also reportedly orchestrated the recent political upheaval in Zimbabwe, as he works for the opposition party ‘Movement for Democratic Change’; yes, American political consultants are willing to go to great lengths to ensure that their candidates win presidential elections or have a favourable public image. Smith’s name was also linked to similar incidents in Gabon and Kenya. He is also currently meddling in Algerian politics as he is very busy working with the opposition to oust sitting President, Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

It now appears that Malawi is next on the list. Chilima recently went on a ‘private trip’ to Washington DC. As you can imagine the trip was not that private, since Twitter was flooded with pictures of a smiling Chilima with Jeffrey Smith at the Voice of America (VOA) international multimedia Agency.

According to sources close to Chilima, the duo had a four-hour meeting planning the details of the upcoming Malawian elections; as in, how to rig them and how Smith and other US coteries will benefit from the deal.

Because it is well-known that foreign interference entities genuinely care about the welfare of the people around the world…and no doubt this is also the case with Malawi.

Dirty Jeffrey Smith has spent years seemingly relentless in his quest to make capital and money from meddling in Africa’s poor countries. He takes advantage of greedy and unpatriotic politicians like Saulos Chilima to make his multi-million dollar election rigging deals at the expense of poor and innocent citizens.

What is more is that where his rigging attempts fails, he resorts to sponsor post elections violence which often times leads to loss of innocent lives and property rendering targeted countries poorer.

Chilima has reportedly promised Smith and his acolytes a myriad of economic deals and benefits, IF they help him win the elections.

Well, worst case scenario, they can always rig them; Smith is a proved subject-matter expert. Funny how Americans hate it when other nations meddle in their internal affairs…or elections, but they, themselves, do it on a regular basis -without the same scruples for that matter- in any country that such schemes are feasible, again ‘on the guise of the good’.

On that note, US ambassador in Malawi Virginia Palmer has been seen -on numerous occasions- attending some UTM events e.g., the UTM convention. It is quite strange that she only chooses to attend UTM’s events and not events of other political parties…She does not even bother to fake it. ‘Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That’…

There is factually little doubt that Malawi’s CSOs, NGOs and even renowned journalists will fall prey to Smith’s systematic form of purposeful persuasion and propaganda techniques, as he is going to tout the ‘vote for change’ and ‘political freedom’ slogans everywhere, but what ‘change’ and what ‘freedom’ -really- are we talking about here?

Chilima does not even realize that he would be totally dependent on these people, IF he ever won the elections.

Does he care? Not really, as long as he wins. Funny how Chilima denounces corruption, nepotism, egoism and abuse of power, when he is the living epitome of all the disgraceful traits he so vehemently despises.

Well, selling out your country to the highest bidder, just to sit in the President’s chair, what does that say for you, Mr. Chilima?

My Take:
Tundu lissu has no any support From Amercan people or European good people but he is just receiving money to sell our beloved Tanzania.

Jefrey Smith should stop immediately to provoke the AFRICAN BULLDOZER John Pombe Magufuli because nothing can stop the spirit of the Magufulication of Africa.

African union should declare Vanguard Africa as the Agent of Chaos and obstacle to truly African development.

Fellow Tanzanians and patriotic Africans embrace the future of Africa through Magufuli's way of bringing about inclusive economy and the sweet taste of true freedom.
