The world's first supersonic private jet just got a lot closer to reality

Meet the Aerion AS2. It’s the first supersonic private jet in the world and it just got a 20-unit order from Flexjet, a private air company. It’s going to change the way some people (rich people!) fly because it can hit speeds of Mach 1.5 thus shaving down the hours needed to travel across the world. For example, right now the flight time from London to New York is about 8 hours. In the Aerion AS2, it’d be around 5 and a half hours.

The 3-engine jet, which was made in collaboration with Airbus, uses Supersonic Natural Laminar Flow, a piece of tech that was developed by DARPA and tested by NASA. It’s going to be the toy every billionaire wants when it takes its first flight in 2023.

Sonic boom haikwepeki kwani bale unapovuka sound barrier[speed faster than sound] effect yake ni hiyo sonic boom lakini kampuni ya airbus nayo iko mbioni [drawing board] kuunda ndege ambayo itaruka kwa kasi ya mara 4.5 kuliko kasi ya sauti na kuwezesha ndege hiyo kutoka london kwenda new york kwa saa moja [mara tatu zaidi ya concorde] Ila urukaji wake utakuwa tofauti sana na ndege za kawaida kwani itatumia aina 3 za engine [zitatumia hydrogen].
Turbo jets 2 zitarusha ndege hiyo kwenda juu kama roketi hadi futi 35,000 na baada ya hapo engine 2 za pembeni
zitaisukuma ndege hiyo kwa kuipa kasi zaidi[kama ndege ya kawaida hadi mwisho wa safari.

Kutegemea na uelekeo hizi jetstream zinaweza kuwa na faida ya kufika upesi[kwa kutumia mafuta kidogo] kwa rubani kutumia muelekeo wa jet stream uwapo sawa na uelekeo wa ndege. [tailwind]na vile vile inaweza kuwa hasara iwapo muelekeo wa ndege unapingana na muelekeo wa jet stream[ head wind.
