The World Need to Stop Over-Relying on China

After this is over, we need to have a very serious discussion about preventing the next pandemic. First thing first, The world health organization (WHO) should be disbanded. WHO is becoming brain-dead. Any time a new virus is discovered, the country where it was discovered needs to be put into a total lockdown until further investigations.

All countries globally should have banned flights from China as early as December last year. No single plane coming in or out of China. Even if the POTUS (Donald Trump) banned flights from China, other countries like Italy still allowed the flights from China, it defeats the purpose. Because it was a matter of time before somebody with Covid-19 landed in Europe from China and infected somebody else who would then fly to the US or Tanzania (Our first case patient flew from Belgium).

Why is it that during the 2014 ebola pandemic, West African countries were in completely shutdown. No flights coming in or going out. But since the Covid-19 was from China, the world was too soft on them. I firmly believe if ebola started from China, it could have spread to every country on earth. The world need to stop over-relying on China. We can't have almost every country in the world depending on China for manufacturing.

The leverage Chinese holds against the world;

• Production costs in China is very cheap. Because they are devaluing their currency and all giant manufacturing companies go there.
• China produces and controls over 75% of hard rare earth metals in the whole globe. You cannot manufacture a phone, car, computer without these metals
• China hold the biggest US bonds (over $2 Trillions). Almost the same amount as Uncle Sam (the U.S Government) pumped into their economy as stimulus package.

I'm fully aware of the consequences that might happen if all countries remove their people and industries from China. Prices of items will go up globally but it's a bullet countries must take from Chinese shackles. Yes, they are holding significant hand in world trade but they shouldn't go unpunished for placing the entire world into chaos.

There are lots of other countries that can do manufacturing like China (Taiwan, Vietnam..). Japan is planning to move all it's manufacturing plants away from China due to this mess they've created in conjunction with the "brain-dead" WHO. The rest of the world should follow.
