Suala siyo kushindana nao bali ni misimamo yetu. Nchi hii imekuwa na misimamo ya aina hiyo tangu 1964 tukiwa wachanga kabisa pale ambapo wajerumani walijaribu kutuchezea tulikataa katakata kuburuzwa.
Hli hii ilifuataia pia pale ambapo Rhodesia ilipojinyakulia uhuru kwa weupe, tulikubali kuvunja uhusiano na Uingereza kwa sababu ya misimamo yetu. Hayo yalifuatia pia wakati tulipotanganza Azimio la Arusha, tuliudhi wakubwa na walijaribu kutukanyaga lakini tuliendelea na misimamo yetu.
Hiyo siyo ajabu hata misimamo ya serikali kwa kipindi hiki kwani ni muendelezo wa misimamo yetu.
Hatujaburuza na hatutaki kuburuzwa na yeyote yule kutoka nje ya mipaka yetu.
Hata hivyo nchi za US na Uingereza siyo mifano bora kwa sasa kwenye suala la haki za binadamu
kwani kwa njia moja au nyingine wamehusika kwenye mauaji ya mamilioni ya raia wasiokuwa na hatia Afrika,Mashariki ya kati na latin America.
