The Supreme Court has dismissed the Government's earlier objection to the application of the Law and Human Rights Center (LHRC) for a permit to file a lawsuit against a levy on telephone transactions.
However, while the court dismissed the Government's objection, it also dismissed a similar application filed by Odero Activist Charles Odero after agreeing with one objection to the Government that his affidavit in support of the application was invalid.
The verdict was handed down on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 by Judge John Mgetta.
Delivering the Government's objection, Judge Mgetta dismissed all three Government arguments as baseless.
