The USA under the leadership of Trump "responded" to the economically hit Venezuela with "humanitarian aids" to be sent to Venezuela even by force, even though Venezuela was not in need of such "humanitarian aids" which grossly violated the country's sovereignty!
On the other hand America & Europe has turned a deaf ear to the obvious disaster in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi which has been caused by cyclone Idai. Many people have died and are still dying due to that natural calamity. If the USA was so "kind" to be ready to send their "humanitarian aid" to Venezuela even by force, one would have expected them to show similar "sympathy" to our brothers in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi, because the situation in these countries is by far more worse than is the case in Venezuela. To the contrary there is no such response so far!!!! Not even a tweet!!
This proves that there is nothing like "humanitarian Aid" in the real sense of the word from countries like USA and the like. Whatever they do, they do it for the sake of serving their own interest i.e American interests, European interests and so fourth! Watch out Africa!!! Times like this, are good times for enabling us to know who is a real friend and partner!!! There is a saying " a friend in need is a friend indeed". Forget about USA and Europe, let us we Africans unite so as to serve our African interests also!!!!!.
I pay tribute to President Magufuli of the United Republic of Tanzania for responding quickly and timely to send his heartfelt condolences to presidents of Msumbiji, Zimbabwe and Malawi. Not only that he also ordered tons of medical and food aid to be sent quickly to the affected countries. Live long if possible forever, our beloved President!!! You have sown for our country, for sure we will reap peace, tranquility, harmony and the like!!!!

Hawa watu hawatoagi msaada vinginevyo wawe wanatetea maslahi yao binafsi. Bila aibu Marekani wameamua kuwapokonya mafuta ambayo tayari walikuwa wameyapeleka Marekani kuuzwa.

The decision on whether to provide humanitarian aid or not lies with the individual country and I don't think if it qualifies to be a subject of discussion in the social media.

Similarly, when the earthquake hit Kagera Region some few years ago and when people from all walks of life volunteered to contribute to help the victims of that calamity, your "Beloved President" chose to show no compassion to the needy and he, instead, decided to ridicule them that he was not the one who caused the disaster and neither was his government...!!!!

Your "Beloved President" decided to extend the olive branch to the victims of the hurricane in those countries especially by supplying them with the drugs when his subjects back home sadly relies on the traditional healers to settle medical cases owing to poor medical services in the country coupled with the acute shortages of drugs in government owned health facilities.

It's the time your "Beloved President" should know that it's good for the charity to begin at home. Much as we appreciate his compassionate approach to help others in need, we would also like to call upon him to put much emphasis on improving the appalling state of hospitals in the country with the aim to equipping them with the modern facilities as well as supplying them with the much needed medications.

inasikitisha waafrika tunaanza kulazimisha misaada.

This is a great laughter of a time!

Normally, we’re told that "charity begins at home”. It make makes sense for US to extend its support to the neighboring country’s victims, particularlly when the country’s government seems to lack financial muscles and will to help out its countrymen.

By virtue of its vicinity to Venezuella, should USA shy away from supporting them when they’re still in their country (Venezuela), sooner or letter they will have to bear a huge influx of Venezuelan into USA, compounding the current immigrant trend with Mexicans. So this could be also their proactive stance to mitigate the impact of immigrants into their country, rather than just humanitarian aids!

We’ve seen our president extending support to Zimbabwe, Malawi and Mozambique due to the calamities in those countries. I’m not sure how many African countries did this even when they can and able. Those three countries being neighbor to our country could have been the decisive factor also.

And, much as we sometimes need help, but pinning one country like USA as the one who “ought” to help whenever need is in place, I think it is somehow wrong! There are plenty of able countries which could also be blamed for that, even and mostly in Africa.

Some countries will help certain countries and some other countries will do the same to the some other countries; Neither one country to and for all countries, nor some countries should receive help and support from all countries!

Basically, each country must have something to help out whenever problem occurs to a neighbor country,at least!

We have many African countries which I’ve never heard them helping other countries. To them, life is just a business transaction, not sharing at all. And this is also manifested strongly in their citizens behaviour in the social interactions.May be some members in this forum will agree with me on that!!!
