Katika hili hakuna ubishi kwamba wanaoshindwa kupata nafasi mlimani ndio wanaenda kwenye hivyo vyuo vingine (the peripherals) ambako hata walimu wao ni vilaza, wenye PhD za ku-forge na wengine wanaokotezwa mtaani. Pia wahitimu wengi wa UDSM (na ambao hawawezi kupata Lectureship UDSM kwa kuwa na GPA ndogo) ndio wanakuwa lecturers wa Mzumbe, DIT na kwingineko. Hii sio issue ya kuijadili kabisa kwasababu iko obvious ila hata kwenye best universities (e.g UDSM kwa Tanzania) lazima wawepo vilaza lakini vilaza hao hao ukiwapeleka Mzumbe, DIT, Tumaini wanakuwa vipanga! Kwahiyo tatizo sio chuo alichosoma bali ni Kikwete mwenyewe. Kumbuka pia sio wote waliosoma wameelimika na wako wengi wa aina hiyo regardless chuo anachosoma mtu!!

Tofauti kati ya diploma na digree, ni kwamba mtu wa diploma anazama zaidi katika eneo dogo, wakati mtu wa digree anafundishwa kwa lengo la kuwa na uelewa kwa maeneo mengi, ili aweze kuratibu kazi za wengine. Watu wengi huwa wanapotosha ukweli kwamba mtu anaweza akawa mwana taaluma tu kwa kujifunza darasani. Hii si kweli, ndiyo maana si sahihi hata kidogo kumwita JK mchumi au Pinda mwanasheria, kwasababu waheshimiwa hawa tangu wahitimu wamekuwa wakifanya mambo tofauti na fani zao.

mkuu ... fanya comparison ya vyou kwa kutumia specific field of study.... sasa utampelekaje mtu anayetaka kusoma Law au Political science SUA....?

Swali la msingi kuwa kwa nini wasomi wa-Kitanzania sio chachu ya kuleta maendeleo na mabadiliko hata kama wako ktk nafasi za kiutendaji ndani ya Tanzania? wakienda nje wanakuwa chachu ktk nchi za kigeni lakini wakiweko nyumbani Tanzania tija hakuna, nini ni tatizo? Description
Ceest foundation is an independent research institution whose objectives are to undertake research and studies in areas related to energy, environment, science and technology. We have a massive experience in the above areas in particular technology and policy related research and studies in energy and environment, Environmental impact assessment (EIA) in energy, mining, etc, policy and technical/technological studies and advice in energy, mining, water resources and environment, Climate change studies and research, etc.
The Centre for Energy, Environment, Science and Technology (CEEST Foundation) was incorporated on 5th November 1992 as a Non-Governmental Organization. The idea to form the Foundation arose out of the realization of the need for an institution, which would look at issues of energy development, environmental protection, natural resource use and Management, and the development and use of science and technology in a holistic and balanced manner. The aim is to attempt to explore and exploit synergies and possible multiplier effects in order to complement efforts of other institutions and individuals as our countries strive to overcome backwardness and poverty.
The first year of the CEEST Foundation was mainly used in laying the foundation for the Foundation's Activities. In the following years the Foundation had to face challenges of the times and through the support of many people (including associates), collaborating institutions and its dedicated staff it has expanded its activities. The Foundation has been able to accomplish a number of research assignments, consultancies and studies as highlighted in coming sections. It has also organized and/or participated in a number of workshops and seminars.

Hii inatokana na jinsi wanavyofundishwa [wanakaririshwa na si kueleweshwa] watu wa aina hiyo huishia kuwa wenye nadharia nyingi kuliko utendaji. Mwisho wa safari huwa walalamishi wazuri sana. Ila ujue kua mfumo wetu wa elimu ya juu toka kitambo ndo umefanya mambo yawe kama unavyodai. Kwani taasisi za elimu ya juu kama DIT,IFM,SUA,UCLAS na Mzumbe zilikua maalumu kwajili ya kuzalisha specific professionals ambao walipaswa kua practical and technical oriented. Hawa walizalishwa kukabiliana na mahitaji ya wataalamu katika nyanja mbalimbali. Ila si nyanja zote;kwani wataalamu wa sheria,uchumi na sayansi ya siasa waliandaliwa UDSM pekee.

UDSM ilikua ni sehemu ya kuzalisha watu wa kuwamanage na kuwasupervise hao wataalamu kutoka kwenye zile taasisi(nilizozitaja hapo juu).

Kwahiyo ndio maana unakuta mwanafunzi aliesomea civil,electrical or telecommunication engineering kutoka DIT(DarTech enzi izo) au MIT(MbeyaTech enzi izo) ni mzuri zaidi ya yule aliesomea UDSM. Huyo kutoka technical colleges anakua hana maneno na blah blah nyingi kama wa UDSM.

Lakini kwa taalamu nje ya izo zinazohitaji technical and mechanical capabilities,wahitimu wa UDSM walikua the best. Hususani kwenye nyanja za uchumi,sheria na sayansi ya siasa.

Hiyo sample yako ya mkwere ni ndogo sana kujustify your analysis. Kwani pengine mkwere ni kilaza (yeye kama yeye);hakua mwerevu darasani;huwezi kuconclude kua wahitimu wa UDSM wote ni vilaza.

Ukienda mzumbe na vyuo vingeni labda kasoro SUA, atakuta asimia kubwa wa malecturers wamesoma UD, lakini ukienda UDSM hakuna lecturer aliyesoma/aliyetoka mzumbe, tumain saut etc. WHY?
 
Ina maana mtoa mada anamaanisha Prof. Shivji naye ni kiliza? Kama naye ni kilaza je wa vyuo vingine wana hali gani?
 
Ni kweli kabisa watu waliosoma mlimani ni vilaza wa kutupwa na ndo viongozi wetu wengi sana wamepita hapo na angalia nchi walipoifikisha.
