Livestock and fisheries minister Luhaga Mpina has directed authorities in Kagera Region to nationalize and auction a total of 6,648 head of cattle from Uganda confiscated recently from the Misenyi National Ranch.
The cattle herd was seized by members of the Misenyi district's safety and security committee during a crackdown on livestock penetrating into the country from neighboring countries.
