Tanzania inflation rises to 14.1 pct in August

DAR ES SALAAM

Tanzania’s inflation rose for the tenth consecutive month in August driven by higher food and energy costs, the statistics office said on Thursday.

The year-on-year inflation in east Africa’s second-biggest economy jumped to 14.1 percent in August from 13 percent in the previous month.

Inasikitisha. Muungwana aliichukua nchi inflation ikiwa around 6.8 pct, na ame-double inflation in 6 years. ANGUKA na Bora Maisha.

That yet sounds less severe than what the situation is in Somalia and other precarious countries. We might have not been succeeded in controlling inflation rate but things do improve slowly. The government is fighting hard to create propitious and conducive ambience to attract foreign investments which efforts have direct effects on slowing the inflation rate.

aisee ndio maana hali ni ngumu
kikwete prof Nduru akiongea yeye anatingisha kichwa kukubali
hawa watu ni hasara kwa taifa huyu jamaa alidesa elimu yake hakuna u prof hapo

And that's the sad part.

After 50 years of Uhuru, and about 47 years of Political monopoly by one party, abudance of natural resources ranked third in the continent, fertile land ranked in top ten in the continent, and a population exceeding our combined five neighbours, we still find Tanzania in a situation which is being compared to a chaotic, lawless state like Somalia and other "precarious" countries. And yet we are told that going from 6.8 pct to 14.1 pct in 6 years is an improvement. I shudder to imagine otherwise.

Hapo nilipokoleza na kupigia mstari..why foreign, je sisi Watanzania si binadamu wenye uwezo wa kufikiri, kupanga, kuamua na kutekeleza maamuzi yetu bila ya kutegemea foreign elements?? Why? In your perspective, are Tanzanians cursed?
I guess, that's what you meant in your post!!..Sad in deed!
Watanzania, tufungue macho!! tumepotezwa jamani..
