The government has given Sida a broad mission, where different levels of future cooperation will be analyzed and where a scenario also implies a potential reduction of state-to-state cooperation.

I myself will also be traveling to Tanzania shortly to continue the dialogue with the government. We have to ensure that Swedish assistance in the best way contributes to creating the conditions for better living conditions for those who live in poverty and oppression in Tanzania, ”says Peter Eriksson (MP) Minister for International Development Cooperation.

The Government instructs Sida to submit proposals on what can be achieved in the areas; human rights, democracy and the rule of law and equality; inclusive economic development; training; environment and climate.

- Environmental and climate issues become a new area for possible development cooperation with Tanzania, and here we specifically highlight the importance of biodiversity and access to renewable energy, says Peter Eriksson.

Other areas that are highlighted include the conditions for Sweden to contribute to increased access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), to productive employment with decent working conditions and to sustainable business and free and fair trade.

Haya tena, shirika la maendeleo la Sweden SIDA wameshauriwa kubadili mahusiano ili yalenge zaidi maendeleo ya watu siyo vitu, kuondoa umasikini na kusisitiza kutilia mkazo demokrasia.

Tanzania chini ya serikali ya awamu ya 5 inatilia mkazo mkubwa maendeleo ya vitu kama miundombinu ya madaraja, flyovers, viwanja vya ndege na reli ya SGR Dar-Mwanza. Pia serikali ya awamu ya 5 haitaki 'makelele' ya mikutano ya kisiasa ya vyama vingi maana awamu ya 5 ni 'hapa kazi tu', demokrasia baadaye wakimaliza ujenzi wa miundombinu.

Kwa ufupi misheni na visheni ya serikali ya Sweden kupita SIDA na visheni ya serikali ya CCM awamu ya 5 ya Tanzania zinapishana zikielekea pande mbili tofauti, moja inaelekea pande za mashariki nyingine magharibi.

Ni Nani atamshawishi mwenzie abadili muelekeo. Wananchi watanzania wanataka maendeleo ya watu, serikali ya CCM inasema hapa kazi tu miundombinu kwanza.

Hitimisho wananchi watanzania kelele zao kuhusu ugumu wa maisha ni kama zinaiambia serikali ya awamu ya 5 wanataka maendeleo ya watu na demokrasia ili kusikilizwa vilio vyao .
