Upana wa barabara hutegemea sana Design speed, Type ya barabara, Volume of Traffic, na level of service unayotaka.....................mfano kuna
1.Expressway/Motorway
2.Major Roads/Arterial
3.Collector/Distributor Roads
4.Local Roads i.e residential streets

Kitu kingine lazime uelewe ni kuwa ukipanua barabara automatically you encourage speeding................jambo ambalo linatakiwa liwe Contained na Enforcement.
kinachofanyika ni kwamba the Right of Way inakuwepo for future expansion na ndio maana ulikuwa ukimuona Magufuli akibomoa watu walioingilia eneo lililohifadhiwa kwa ajili ya barabara, na kama hilo halikufanyika ktk initial masterplan basi serikali hutumia Compulsory Acquisition Act na Ku-compensate the owners kwa market value ya wakati huo.
