One of the top marketing experts in Tanzanias beer industry, David Minja has been appointed as the new Marketing Manager for SABMiller Africa, a source familiar with the matter revealed to Corporate Digest..
Minja who was the Marketing Director of Tanzania Breweries Limited takes the helm of marketing operations in the continent's leading brewers and one of the worlds largest brewers, with more than 200 beer brands and some 70,000 employees in over 75 countries.
Instead of managing marketing operations for a single country, he now looks over the whole SABMiller African footprint which consists of 13 countries including Tanzania the source said but declined to be mentioned since he is not a spokesperson for TBL.
"Minja begun working on his new post in South Africa effective October 1st," said the source.
Before joining TBL, Minja worked with Kibo Breweries Limited (KBL) in the late 1990s, which the majority shareholders were East African Breweries Limited EABL).
Under his marketing leadership TBL has won a number of awards internationally and SABMiller.
Moreover, Minja was among the successors for helping to increase the sales and distribution of TBL's products in Tanzania
