Alvaro Tejero is the new Nacho
Real Madrid continue to work on securing players for their future; some from outside, as in the case of Vinicius and Theo, and others from their academy, La Fabrica, as in the case of Alvaro Tejero, a boy that Zinedine Zidane sees as the new Nacho.
Zizou loves his versatility and was with him during the Frenchman's time in Castilla.
In 2016/17, Tejero trained with the first team on many occasions and was given minutes in the Copa del Rey and LaLiga.
A right-back, he can play on the left and also centrally.
The cup game against Cadiz was a nightmare for all concerned at Real Madrid, except for Tejero, because he debuted in that match.
ALL HIS LIFE
Like Dani Carvajal and Nacho himself, Tejero is a lifelong academy player.
He arrived in 2005 at the Benjamin level and since then went through all intermediate categories to reach the first team.
Now he expects news to know, first, about his renewal and, secondly, if he will be on the pre-season tour again like last summer.
He is now beginning to collect the fruits of his great sacrifice at Madrid.
Getting to training every day as a child was not easy; not for him or for his father.
His parents and those of two other youths, Sergio Reguilon and Borja Pascual (who is no longer in Madrid), took turns for weeks to take them.
Tejero's mother even prepared a supper for him to eat at Valdebebas because sometimes he studied during the trip and fell asleep.
