When I was just a little girl,I asked my mother, "What will I be? Will I be pretty?
Will I be rich?" Here's what she said to me:
"Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be; The future's not ours to see. Que sera, sera, What will be, will be."
When I was just a child in school, I asked my teacher, "What will I try? Should I paint pictures" Should I sing songs?" This was her wise reply:
"Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be; The future's not ours to see.
Que sera, sera, What will be, will be."
When I grew up and fell in love.I asked my sweetheart, "What lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows Day after day?" Here's what my sweetheart said:
"Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be; The future's not ours to see.
Que sera, sera, What will be, will be."
Now I have Children of my own. They ask their mother, "What will I be?"
Will I be handsome? Will I be rich?" I tell them tenderly:
"Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be; The future's not ours to see.
Que sera, sera, What will be, will be. Que Sera, Sera!"
Does this song speak about our country? Whatever will be will be? The future is not ours to see?
Have we lost all hope and an ounce of delivery from our leaders? Is the country now following the footsteps of our leaders who with high pitched voices filled with an after taste of wine, nyama choma and smell reproductive fluids declare "que sera sera"?
Everyday you read about malfunction of something in our system which sounds like another scheme to rape the country. When will this end? are we doomed?
I just read that TRA flow meters that are placed at our ports to detect quality and measure volumes of oil to determine amount of tax on oil imports are out of Order and TRA is back to old days of using deep sticks-vijiti.
I hear Kibadeni has a list of marefa wala rushwa and TFF is on defense about it.
In Mbinga, wananchi are asking for the head of DC and to be put on chopping block. When OCD was asked how come there are such allegations of incompetence tfrom your department, OCD's answer was that the increase of crime is due to maendeleo!
Gavana Ndulu anasema thamani ya Shilingi imekuwa, madafu is doing better than US Dollar and our exports earning have grown! Is Ndulu telling us Uchumi unapaa? How can uchumi paa is 10% of reported gross earnings were out of Kilimo which is 80% of ajira in Tanzania? Isn't it possible that devaluation of US dollar due to US economic crisis is the direct result of Shilingi appreciating against USD? what are the stats on Madafu versus Euro or Malkia (GBP)?
Okay, then there are stories about vipimo vya Ukimwi, Dawasco kuweka sumu and every page in every newspaper from home has same theme; malice, sadness, corruption, incompetence, Uhujumu, Ufisadi!
Que sera sera? Je ndivyo tulivyo? whatever will be, will be, Que sera sera?
