Prof. Ndulu: Maneno ya kiingereza ndio ya kitaalamu?

    Kwa muda mrefu nimekuwa nikiwasikia watu wengi anapoongea kiswahili au lugha ya asili basi huweza kusema jambo hili kwa kitaalamu hujulikana kama..................hapo atataja neno hilo kwa kiingereza. Mimi nadhani sio sahihi kabisa zaidi ya ulimbukeni wa kasumba ya lugha ya kiingereza.

    Utasikia waandishi na watangazaji wakisema'' kitaalamu mipira kama hiyo huitwa ''dead balls'' au ''deflection'' au kitaaluma sehemu hiyo inajulikana kama '' impossible angle''

    Nimeamua kuandika baaada ya kuwaona hata watu wenye weledi wakitumbukia katika kadhia hiyo. Mfano, hivi karibuni Prof. Ndulu alikaririwa akisema hivi kuhusu noti mpya:''noti hizo mpya ni bora zaidi kuliko zile za zamani kwa kuwa zimewekewa dawa inayojulikana kitaalamu kama ‘Anti Soiling Treatment’ inayozuia zisichafuke au kuchanika kwa haraka''

    Hayo maneno siyo ya kitaalamu bali ni maneno ya kawaida kabisa ya kiingereza. Kwa mtazamo wangu tunatakiwa kusema '' kwa kitaalamu'' katika maneno ambayo ni istilahi; yaani hujulikana kwa watu wenye fani hiyo husika yaani mtu wa ''kawaida'' hawezi kuyaelewa: Mfano wataalamu wa kemia wana maneno yao, kadhalika fani ya utabibu ina maneno na procedures zake ambazo zinatumia maneno ambayo sio ya kawaida au watu wa Bailojia.

    Mkuu hapo una point ila kuwekana sawa naomba uelezee hayo maneno kwenye Bold ungependa waseme nini..., kuna wakati badala ya kutumia neno moja utajikuta unatumia sentensi nne lakini kwa watu wanaojua mpira ukisema "dead ball" wanaelewa moja kwa moja..

    Lakini "you have got a point mkuu" au kwa lugha ya kitaalamu "Hapo umenena"

    Nakubaliana kuna maneno ni ngumu kusema kwa ufupi kwa kiswahili, alipaswa kuondoa neno '' kwa kitaalamu inaitwa''......................... angesema noti hizo zimetengenezwa katika mfumo/njia inayojulikana kwa lugha ya kiingereza kama '' Anti Soil Treatment''
