Job Title: Technical Assistant
Business Function: Petroleum Engineering
Location: Coastal Area (PDO1-CM)
Division: Petroleum Engineering Data Management
Department: UPD
Purpose of the Job:
·To provide and co-ordinate technical assistance to the discipline engineer.
·To provide the discipline engineer access to all field, reservoir and well data, if necessary in consultation with the data management group.
·To load and retrieve all reservoir data used in well and reservoir management, using predefined data loading procedures and specification and following PDO data management standards.
·To QA and QC all data used by discipline engineers for monitoring, modelling and studies.
·To carry out reviews on data availability.
·To provide administrative support to the team.
Experience and Qualifications:
Technical
·Technical diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or Engineering discipline as a minimum requirement
·Good working knowledge of the company standard PC operating system and standard Windows applications (Word/Excel/Powerpoint/MsAccess).
·3years of relevant experience in Petroleum engineering discipline is preferred
Personal
·Good command of English language up to Oxford/Cambridge grade 8/9
·Focus and attention to detail
·Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
.High level of customer orientation and service capabilities.
·High degree of achievement drive and initiative.
Challenges:
·Become familiar with new PE computer applications.
·Develop knowledge of specific PE discipline and concepts.
·Meet a wide range of customer requirements while maintaining high standards in mundane or repetitive tasks.
