ORGANISATION: World Vision

Description:

Addressing malnutrition and improving the nutritional status of children and mothers is a key programmatic focus of the Africa health strategy. The purpose of the position is to provide technical support and coordination of nutrition programming with a special focus on the nutrition jump start projects to be implemented in 6 countries in East, Southern and West Africa area. Requirements:
  • Masters or equivalent degree in nutrition and child health. An undergraduate degree in a nutrition and/or health related discipline is preferable. Must demonstrate understanding or experience in nutrition programming. A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing community based nutrition projects in developing countries.
  • Excellent skills required in program design, reporting and documentation, and monitoring and evaluation, and in managing by results. Knowledge of World Vision operations, regional and national office programming preferable. Must be a creative individual with strong sense of vision, commitment and priorities. Responsibilities
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the United Nations system's designated entity for addressing environmental issues at the global and regional level. Its mandate is to coordinate the development of environmental policy consensus by keeping the global environment under review and bringing emerging issues to the attention of governments and the international community for action. QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Work Experience
Minimum of seven years of progressive working experience in addressing urban environment issues, preferably including clean fuels and vehicles issues. Languages

DEPUTY PROJECT DIRECTOR

Family Health International Tanzania (FHI) is a private, non-profit organization working to improve lives worldwide through research, education, and services in family health. FHI seeks a Deputy Director for the UJANA Project, a five-year youth HIV prevention project in Tanzania funded by PEPFAR through USAID. The Deputy Director will be a key member of the UJANA senior management team and will assume the Project Director role prior to the end of the project.
Main duties and responsibilities include:​
·Supervises and provides strategic direction and guidance to the Programs Team in the design and day-to-day implementation of project activities​
·Mentors UJANA project staff to ensure highest levels of performance and coordination​
· Responsible for liaison with Government of Tanzania (GOT) offices at central and local levels and other stakeholders to ensure local participation and ownership​
·Identifies youth-relevant policy reform needs and solutions at both central and regional/district levels and advocates with relevant GOT offices/officials​
·Manages the production of timely and accurate programmatic and technical reports to FHI and USAID​
·Coordinates with other organizations and donors working in adolescent health areas to improve collaboration, coordination and resourcing​
·Represents the UJANA project and makes presentations at professional meetings and conferences​

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
·Medical degree and/or masters or doctoral level degree in public health or related field.​
·At least 10 years of experience in reproductive health programming, including HIV prevention, of which at least three years should be in a senior management position.​
·Familiarity with and commitment to HIV and RH issues among youth​
·Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
·Previous professional experience either working directly with or as a liaison to the Government of Tanzania, preferably in the field of RH, HIV and AIDS health policies and practices.
·Ability to travel nationally, regionally, and internationally as needed.
·Ability to function in a team environment that includes youth in all program elements.
·Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
·Familiarity with USAID and/or PEPFAR programming preferred.

These positions are based in Dar es Salaam, but will require travel to regions where FHI has project activities.

The BDM is the primary dealmaker and provider of Business Development Assistance to investee

companies. He/she is responsible for sourcing and structuring transactions, delivering initial BDA,

obtaining internal approval, managing legal implementation and disbursement, continuous BDA

and portfolio management. Throughout the life of a transaction, the BDM will act as a "business

partner" for the customer and continues to deliver value-adding BDA to build a better business.

The BDM will be responsible for realising optimal returns on his/ her portfolio. The BDM role

Duties and responsibilities


· General marketing of GroFin

· Building fruitful relationships with deal sourcing networks such as banks, consultants,

donors, business associations and relevant governmental institutions

· Sourcing and structuring of transactions

· Providing initial BDA to assist a client in drafting a finance-able business plan

· Drafting risk-focused finance reports and building developing realistic financial models

· Obtaining final approval

· Managing the implementation and disbursement process

· Providing continuous value-adding BDA through regular discussions and visits

· Developing and maintaining a healthy relationship with existing customers that should

result in repeat and/or networked business opportunities.

· Effective portfolio management to ensure good portfolio health and optimal returns

· Timely monthly and quarterly portfolio and debtors' reporting

· Active participation in drafting annual country business plan and budget

· Effective communication with internal and external customers

· Any other duties as assigned on an ad-hoc basis
