Hijackers demanding the resignation of President Julius K. Nyerere of Tanzania seized a Tanzanian jetliner with more than 90 passengers aboard on a domestic flight Friday. They reportedly killed two hostages and forced the pilot to fly to Kenya and Saudi Arabia.

The Tanzanian Airlines Boeing 737 took off from Jidda early today after refueling and was reported heading for Rome. In Jidda, the hijackers said they were members of the Revolutionary Youth Movement of Tanzania and demanded President Nyerere's resignation, an airport spokesman said.

Foreign Minister Robert Ouko of Kenya said the hijackers had released three women and two children at the Nairobi airport. Mr. Ouko said the hijackers told him that they killed two of the people on the plane. The bodies were still aboard when the jetliner left Nairobi, Kenyan officials said.

It was not clear how many hijackers there were or what weapons they had.

Hijackers: (Leader) Mousa Memba died in 1992 while in jail in Dar es Salaam.

Februari 1982 Watanzania wanne waliiteka ndege aina ya Boeing 737 ya Air Tanzania ikitokea Mwanza kwenda Dar es salaam.

Ndege ilikuwa na abiria 99. Watekaji walikuwa wakazi wa Dar es salaam mmoja wao akiwa ni dereva wa taksi, wote wanne walikuwa na umri chini ya miaka 30.

Ndege ililazimishwa kwenda kutua Nairobi. Baada ya kujaza mafuta Nairobi watekaji waliamuru marubani kuirusha ndege kwenda London.

Ilipita kujaza mafuta tena Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) kisha Athens Ugiriki kabla ya kupaa kuelekea London. Watekaji hao walikuwa tayari wametoa tishio la kuilipua ndege hiyo endapo wasingesikilizwa madai yao.

Moja ya sharti la watekaji ilikuwa kumtaka Mwalimu Nyerere ajiuzulu Urais wakisema alikuwa ameusaliti ujamaa. Baada ya ndege kutua London watekaji walitaka kujadili madai yao na watu watatu, Waziri wa zamani wa Mambo ya Nje na Ulinzi wa Tanzania Ndugu Oscar Salathiel Kambona ambaye wakati huo alikuwa akiishi uhamishoni nchini Uingereza, Balozi wa Tanzania wa Uingereza wakati huo Ndugu Anthony Nyaki na Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje wa Uingereza Lord Carrington. Baada ya masaa 26 ya majadiliano mateka wote waliachiwa huru na watekaji walijisalimisha

BISHOP'S STORTFORD, England, Feb. 28 - A 48-hour hijacking drama that began in East Africa ended tonight at an airport 25 miles northeast of London with the surrender of four young terrorists and the release of more than 90 hostages.
The Air Tanzania airliner was hijacked on Friday while it was on a domestic flight. The terrorists forced the pilot to fly to Nairobi, Kenya, then to Jidda, Saudi Arabia, Athens and finally to Stansted Airport, which is used principally for charter flights.
The British police, fearing for the safety of passengers, refrained from storming the plane, although antiterrorist troops were placed in position for an assault Saturday. None of the passengers were seriously hurt.
Security sources here said that explosives were found wired to the aircraft doors and placed in a toilet. The hijackers had threatened to blow up the plane, a Boeing 737, at 10:30 Saturday night. 'Please Bring 100 Coffins'
''We are going to blow the plane,'' one terrorist said in talks with airport officials. ''We are going to die now. Please bring 100 coffins at once.'
The only known casualty was the co-pilot, who was injured when he was either shot or stabbed in the waist just before the plane arrived in Athens. The hijackers, who were taken into custody this evening, were armed with knives, pistols, submachine guns and grenades. However, some of the arms were said to have been made of wood or plastic.
According to the police, the terrorists were seeking the overthrow of the President of Tanzania, Julius K. Nyerere. They were identified as members of a left-wing group that describes Mr. Nyerere as a traitor who has suborned Marxist ideology.
The drama was brought to an end by the intervention of Oscar Kambona, a former Tanzanian Foreign Minister now exiled in Britain. After landing at Stansted, the hijackers demanded the ouster of Mr. Nyerere and a discussion of their grievances with Mr. Kambona; the Tanzanian Ambassador, Anthon Nyaki, and Lord Carrington, Britain's Foreign Secretary, who is traveling abroad. Once Mr. Kambona arrived at Stansted, which is in the county of Essex, about midway between London and Cambridge, the terrorists began to release hostages. Late on Saturday night they freed a pregnant mother and her 5-year-old son. At noon today four women, a man and a baby girl were freed.
Then at 2:30 P.M., seven men and three women were set free. The injured co-pilot was released at 3:15 P.M. and 41 passengers were allowed to leave at 4 P.M. About an hour later the rest of the hostages walked down the ramp and the hijackers surrendered.
Robert Bunyard, the Chief Constable of Essex, said that all of the hijackers were in their early 20's. ''The people are all safe,,'' he said.
