1.It's very childish when you pick photosfrom Internet and claim that you've been to mathare
2. If you went to school, then it should be common sense to know that one of the weaknesses of a capitalist economy is the inequality of wealth and income which inturn provides an incentive to wealth creation and economic growth. In a capitalist economy the relationship between the rich and poor its mutual meaning that neither can exist without the other;Whichever way you look at it, in a capitalist economy the rich MUST exploit the poor. This capitalist economy also partly explains why a kenyan will watch you being mugged in the middle of town and do nothing because of the profit-altruism motive-people worry about how much is in their pockets and not the welfare of others.
I think Kenyan should be worried more about the total percentage of the population living in slums,Currently I approximate the slum living population to be less than 10% which is a good source of cheap labour to the industries and to grow the informal sector.Once we become a consumerism economy, that's when we will start thinking about the poor and import cheap labour from neighboring countries but currently, that's not a priority, we're a developing economy which is mainly supported by agriculture and production and we need cheap labour to run the economy, which can only be provided by the poor who happen to live in slums
