Nigerian Police demand N2.8 billion to fight terrorism in 2013

[h=2]As part of its efforts to combat terrorism in the coming year,the Nigerian Police Force is proposing N2.8 billion (TZS 28 Billion) in the 2013 budget to fundlogistics, intelligence gathering and purchase of anti-terror equipment.[/h]This was part of the details presented by the Federal Ministry of PoliceAffairs to the House of Representatives’ committee while defending its 2013budget proposal of N341.6 billion.
In a presentation to the House of Representatives committee on PoliceAffairs, the Minister of police affairs, Caleb Olubode said the ministry’s 2013budget focuses primarily on completion of on-going projects.
The Chairman of the house committee on police affairs, Usman Kumo said nocost was too much to end terror attacks in Nigeria and that the committee willgive the police the much needed support to fight terrorism.
