Naomba msaada,

AUTHORITIES in Kagera Region have recommended split of the area into two regions to ease administration. The recommendation was made during the recent Regional Consultative Council (RCC) meeting held here, that suggested the proposed new region to comprise Ngara, Biharamulo, Chato and Geita districts.
It was also suggested that another region should comprise Meatu, Bunda and Maswa districts. The recommendations would be forwarded to the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) National Executive Committee (NEC) for consideration.
Kagera Regional Commissioner, Enos Mfuru told the leaders who attended the meeting that the move was aimed at speeding up the pace of development in the area. He said if the recommendation would be endorsed, Kagera Region would remain with only four districts of Bukoba, Muleba, Karagwe and Misenyi, with a population of 1.6 million people.
