ROLE OVERVIEW
TradeSafe Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Business and Market Intelligence or Analyst Officer who will also serve as the Director of Market Intelligence Unit at TRADESAFE . This role will be instrumental in the ongoing development and management of the TradeSafe Intelligence System (TSIS), a data-driven platform that supports international trade operations.
In this position, the officer will work closely with the IT department to design an AI interface that translates complex business data into clear, actionable insights. Additionally, the officer will recruit and lead a team of part-time business intelligence professionals, enhancing the team’s capacity for specialized projects and deep-dive analyses.
This role also involves collaborating with other business intelligence agencies and financial intelligence units (FIUs) to exchange data and strategies for effective risk mitigation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Director of Market Intelligence Duties: Oversee all market intelligence functions, managing data analysis and interpreting insights that inform TradeSafe’s international trade strategies .
TSIS Development: Lead the design and implementation of the TradeSafe Intelligence System (TSIS) in collaboration with the IT department, creating an AI-powered interface to interpret complex business data.
Recruitment and Team Management: Recruit, guide, and manage part-time business intelligence professionals to execute key projects efficiently .
Market Analysis: Conduct and oversee detailed analyses of international trade trends and market dynamics, identifying growth opportunities and potential risks for TradeSafe.
Data Source Management: Manage and maintain data sources from both private and government entities, ensuring data accuracy and integrity to support market intelligence activities.
Collaboration and Risk Mitigation: Partner with other business intelligence agencies and financial intelligence units, facilitating data exchanges and developing shared risk mitigation strategies.
Strategic Recommendations: Provide insights and guidance on market expansion, compliance, and risk management within the global trade landscape.
Reporting and Insights: Compile comprehensive reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, summarizing findings and strategic recommendations.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Operations, and Marketing teams to integrate intelligence findings into broader business strategies.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all intelligence activities adhere to international trade regulations and industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance and Banking, Logistics, Computer Science, or a related field with ability to adapt working environment
Experience: Significant experience in market intelligence / Data Analysis , preferably in a leadership role
Skills:
Expertise or Expirience d in international trade, logistics, and market intelligence, with familiarity in AI-driven data systems.
Strong leadership and team management abilities to direct a high-performing intelligence unit.
Proficient in data analysis, with a talent for translating complex data into actionable insights or Directing and monitoring to the Team
Collaborative experience with IT for the development of AI-based business intelligence tools.
Experience in working with business and financial intelligence units for collaborative risk mitigation.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance within international trade and logistics will be added Advantage
