My lil trip in India, the Filthy Country [Photos]

India is the dirtiest country I have ever been to. I have heard people say that Pakistan, which is to the west and Bangladesh, to the east, are worse, but that is probably beyond the limits of my imagination.
In two months in India, I went from south to north, visiting some tourist towns that I had read about.

I also went by train and bus to countless towns and open fields that weren’t so famous, and everywhere there were people had something in common — dirty, messy and stank. Interestingly, I also saw countless foreigners having a great time.

Kila nchi ina imani yake... Inaelekea kwamba wewe umenda India na ukachukua mabaya tu... There are parts of India that incredible you can not imagine and obviously there has to be the bad parts which are crowded and are humid and hence stink we have that here also..

54% of India or 638 million people do not have access to toilets & defecate in the open!


This is over 55% of the total for all such people in the world - we certainly hold the dubious distinction of outranking all others by a huge margin :sad:



- In second place is Indonesia, with a paltry 58 million.


The report also states that 18% of urban India indulge in this practice (Mumbai, Kolkata & Chennai might account for a large part of this).



The percentage for rural India is as high as 69%.
