Bwana KULI hivi ukienda kusafiri na ndege pale kiwanjani ukaambiwa kuna mtu amekataa kupitia kwenye scanner kukaguliwa utaipanda ile ndege? Swala la usalama halipaswi kufanyiwa mzaa wa mambo ya dini au haki za binadamu. Watu kama kina Al Queda ,n.k wanaitumia dini vibaya. i think the logic thing is if you feel you don need body scanner just find alternative to your travel need, we can not compromise the safety of people boarding an aeroplane for some people who consider it not ok according to their religious values, we can not satisfy all people religious value the need for body scan is for checking if somebody has some dangerous material surely no one is interested in just looking on bodies of people, imagine how many body he/she check per day, i think muslim should learn this is 21st century, medievel stuff are no longer part and parcel of our society! and it is for this reason the religion may start to loose appeal to most people as it does not reflect the real current situation in the society!
i would feel very unconfortable to know i have boarded a plane where people have not been scanned because i don want tyo die simply because someone has not gone through the scanner!

He told an audience from the aerospace industry that, notwithstanding the threat from terrorism, "the primary asset to be safeguarded and treasured is the person, in his or her integrity".

Respect for the principles he enunciated "might seem particularly complex and difficult in the present context", he told his audience, which included airport managers, airline executives, security workers, pilots, cabin and ground staff.

They had to contend with problems arising "from the economic crisis, which is bringing about problematic effects in the civil aviation sector, and the threat of international terrorism, which is targeting airports and aircraft". But, he warned: "It is essential never to lose sight of respect for the primacy of the person."

The pope's words will delight civil liberties campaigners opposed to a device that strips passengers virtually naked.

But those involved in airport security will no doubt point out that, when he himself travels -- on Alitalia -- the pope and his entourage are simply waved through security controls.

No name, I believe you are a middle eastern, if you are not, your cooments stinks!! You need to study the world history and the change/shift of global politics and who/what do cause them. Any clever person will not associate it with religion. Politics whether in Islam, christianity, gentile, jewish or non religious state, exists to serve one master. And each time that master decides what kind of music to play, from cold war, to terrorism, and...who knows what will come after terrorism.
