Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe attending the UN General Assembly's 66th annual session in New York on September 22, 2011 Zimbabwe's president attacks the International Criminal Court (ICC) for ignoring crimes committed by former US President George W. Bush and former UK Premier Tony Blair among other such statesmen.

"The leaders of the powerful western states guilty of international crime, like Bush and Blair, are routinely given the blind eye,"
Robert Mugabe said, addressing the UN General Assembly's 66th annual session in New York on Thursday, AFP reported.

"Such selective justice has eroded the credibility of the ICC on the African continent," he added.

The Zimbabwean head of state also lashed out at the United States-led military alliance of NATO's March-present airstrikes against Libya, which have been authorized by the United Nations on grounds of protecting civilians.

"Yesterday, it was Iraq and Bush and Blair were the liars and aggressors as they made unfounded allegations of possession of weapons of mass destruction," Mugabe said. Bush and Blair have faced criticism from activists for their role as architects of the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq.

"This time it is the NATO countries, the liars and aggressors as they make similarly unfounded allegations of destruction of civilian lives by Gaddafi," he added.

Libyan officials say hundreds of civilians have died in the alliance's bombings against the North African country
