Tanzania... my beloved motherland.. How I long for you! I weep for you. To see your demise saddens me, enrages others and leads to many outcomes. Everytime I log onto JF the word I am most likely to see in the politics forums is "UFISADI", a word that I detest personally.. The reason being, badala ya watanzania kuwa tunaongelea jinsi gani tutaleta economic freedom and prosperity, education and truly modernising our society (in an African way) tunaongelea corruption.. But the central theme of tanzanian politics is corruption it would appear.

Our country is young, very young indeed... the people who are in power right now are the few that were educated under the colonial system and the early Nyerere admnistration's improvised eduction system. Watoto wa wakulima even where theirs were chiefs and therefore they were the indeginous aristocracy if you like. Not so in everycase though. Wamesoma, na sasa wanajikomboa na umaskini.... kwa kujilimbikizia mali. Wamepata fursa ya kuishi maisha ya maraha na mastarehe ambayo hawakuweza hata kuota wakiwa utotoni. Well and good, watu wanasema CCM ndio tatizo, but I disagree. I would bet my life if I were one to gamble, kesho ukimpa, let me think, who is the most out-spoken advocate against the government, Zitto Kabwe for instance, serikali, it is in all likelihood that he would in time turn into the same thing that he is fighting. Sio kwasababu yeye ni mtu mbaya au FISADI (i hate that word with a passion)but simply because POWER corrupts, and in Tanzania, with a little money, and uchawi you can buy power. So corruption inazaa power ambayo inazaa grand-corruption.

I know my opinion might insult some of the members of JF, lakini the truth is even the strogest critical voices in here, wakipewa nafasi watajipendelea. IT is HUMAN NAture to do so... Mara kadha wa kadha tumeona, hasa katika bara ya Africa, freedom fighters turn into dictators and mafisadi. Look at Kenyatta and the deaths which are happening now, simply because alipendelea kabila lake. People arent fighting for Raila or Kibaki, its the Land.. Watu wamefanya hii political forum yakujadili udaku, be it real or not. Power has a way of eroding and principles and most of the weak leaders we have have failed to resist. Most of the people wanaofaya ushabiki kwenye hii forum are just as weak but they dont know it...

Viongozi wanajitajirisha wao na familia zao, not knowing that as they creat this false bubble of wealth, they are creating the massacre of their grandchildren. pale ambapo wananchi watachoka kuvumilia the ELITE ambayo inadevelop sasahivi.. expensive private school education and I'm not talking about st. mary's hahaha. Waterford in Swaziland, £40,000 schools in the UK, not even to mention University education. Nivizuri watu wasome, lakini wakulima nao watoto wao wawe wakulima wasiojua hata sheria zinazo wahusu, haki zao??? When you surround yourself with poverty, your wealth is nothing but a DANGER to you and your family. Hili hatulioni!!!!!

Hapo juu ina-sound kama African Nature na sio Human Nature. Nadhani sote tunajua tuko katika mapambano na hawa MAJAMBAZI wa CCM. Lakini hata siku moja tusianze kusema matendo yao ni Human Nature kwani kwa kufanya hivyo kutatufanya tuone maovu yote yanayofanywa na hawa MAFISADI, yanafanywa unconsciously kutokana na matendo hayo kuwa embedded kwenye Genomic System yetu. Hili sikubaliani nalo kabisa, ninachojua hawa watu ni MAJAMBAZI, WAKATILI, WANYONYAJI, WAHUJUMU UCHUMI, MAFISADI vitu ambavyo havihusiani kabisa na HUMAN NATURE bali ni tamaa yao binafsi..

Mazee hii debate ni nzuri! Kujibu swali lako la kipi kifanyike ili kuondokana na hii dhana niseme hivi. Hali yetu sisi Waafrika ndio inayosababisha hii dhana iwepo. Hadi hapo yatakapotokea mapinduzi ya kweli yatakayobadili hali zetu hii dhana itaendelea kuwepo. Hayo mapinduzi yatakuwa ni collective effort la sivyo tutaendelea kuwa na hali tuliyonayo sasa.

Dhana hii inaelezea vipi mfano wa makampuni ya nje (kizungu) ambayo yanakuja Afrika na kuchota rasilimali ambazo kwa kiasi kikubwa zinawafaidisha wao? Well, hayo makampuni yanakuja kwetu na sisi tunayakaribisha. Wachache walio madarakani wanafaidika nayo sambamba huku tulio wengi tukiangalia tu huku tukijua kwamba hiyo sio haki na hatufanyi kitu. Inawezekana kweli ikawa ni ubinafsi kwa upande wa jamii zao lakini inawezekana ikawa pia ni ujanja kwa jamii zao na ujinga kwa jamii zetu zinazotazama ufisadi ukitendeka mchana kweupe bila substantive resistance yoyote ile. Unakumbuka kipindi kile kampuni moja ya Dubai iliyotaka kuchukua tenda ya security ktk bandari za Marekani watu walivyopinga? Sasa sisi kinachotushinda ni kini? Tukiwakatalia hao wazungu na kusema tunagawana angalau nusu kwa nusu kwani nini kitakachotokea? Na kwani ni lazima hao wazungu waje Afrika na kuwekeza? Sisi tatizo letu nini kama rasilimali tunazo...kwa nini tusizi-exploit kwa manufaa yetu wenyewe na kama kuna mtu wa nje naye anazitamani kwa nini tusimpe masharti na kuhakikisha na sisi tunafaidika na huo uwekezaji wake?

The poverty which we have in Africa is a state of mind. Congo is the richest country in the world with natural resources estimated at 23 trillion us dollars. Sasa look at its state, divided, an endless battle field for the greedy. From the time Leopold II of Belgium was cutting off people's hands to, Mobutu, to the Kabilas, alafu watu wanamsifia Kennedy wakati he was the one who ordered the CIA to kill Lumumba. Not that he would have been any better lakini hakua tayari kuaccept the west's dominance of his coutry's resources. Wazungu have never acted in any way that was not in their interest. They have proved time and again that they dont give a toss about Africa. Remember 1994 in Rwanda.. remember Darfur.. wait dont remember.. its happening right now. Mimi I live amongst them but I do not envy them nor appreciate their way of life. Wamekuja kututumia and that is all they care about. in the 19th Century it was under the pretext of Christianity and development, in the 21st century its in the form of globalization, investment,global security.. all bullshit if you ask me.

Through their agents, who they are buying at cheap prices (even if that is billions) they still make more money. Sasa hawa viongozi washaifu tulionao wataendelea kuuza nchi mpaka their is nothing left. Arguably it may be necessary to play chess with the enemy because the system is organized in such a way that gives them the advantage lakini we must surely but carefully regain our ground. I am a patriot as are you all but above all things I am a realist. And as a realist, I am obliged to ba a moderate and not a radical. Tanzania inahitaji mabadiliko in its thinking, we must educate ourselves in what it means to be African, and Tanzanian, sio kuimba nyimbo na viongozi wetu waache kutu betray kwakuuza inchi yetu, politically and materially kwa wazungu. Kama Rais wanchi anaweza kukiuka maadili nakufanya biashara Ikulu, forget about Ballali, and then nothing happens to him, then as a society we are doomed because the people who are virtually choosing the direction of our state are taking it towards the wrong future. One of revolution and bloodshed when the masses reach their threshold and can no longer stand the crimes which are committed against them in their own name. TUAMKE... CCM, CUF, CHADEMA, NCCR ,XYZ, it doesnt matter, its all the same species only different in terms of what stage of development they are at... tuwe WAZALENDO. Fight for TANZANIA.
