Marrybrown to open in Tanzania

By ALICIA LIM

JOHOR BARU: Malaysian-owned franchise Marrybrown Fried Chicken Sdn Bhd will start its foray into East Africa this April with its first franchise outlet in Tanzania.

Marrybrown group managing director Nancy Liew said that the restaurant would be located in Donoma, the capital city of Tanzania.

"We plan to eventually have 10 outlets in Tanzania within five years.

"We are happy that the negotiations have been successfully concluded after many years," she said, adding that the company hoped to take its restaurants to more parts of the world.

According to Liew, each Marrybrown franchise in Tanzania would cost US$500,000 (RM1.6mil).
I am not against maendeleo yetu wabongo or globalization...nategemaea Marrybrown itatuletea ajira akina sisi walala hoi.

Due to globalisation, we will be LUCKY if all the jobs our kids will get will be sales clerks at these fast-food chains and a-la-Shoprite supermarkets!

Forget them working at CRDB!

LOL

Investors wanakaribishwa Tanzania.
