The Young Professionals Program of the African Development Bank
The African Development Bank (AfDB) is Africas premier development finance institution dedicated to providing quality assistance to its 53 regional member countries with a view to helping them attain economic growth and sustainable development. The AfDB has, since 1964, engineered significant initiatives to achieve its goals by combating poverty and improving living conditions on the continent. Officially headquartered in Abidjan, Côte dIvoire, the Bank maintains field offices in more than twenty countries and is currently temporarily relocated in Tunis, Tunisia, due to the political crisis in Côte dIvoire.
The AfDBs operations and strategic focus is driven by the challenges and opportunities faced by the continent. In recent years, Africa has witnessed a number of positive developments including broad-based economic growth, falling external indebtedness, successful political transitions and heightened international focus. The AfDB strives to leverage these successes, and make valuable and effective contributions to alleviate existing constraints to development. As part of the Banks Young Professionals Program (YPP), you will have the opportunity to work across the continent, and be at the forefront of exciting Bank initiatives that are helping to shape Africas future.
