Kindly note we have introduced charges to merchants with below criteria’s;

 They have the same NIDA ID for both Wakala and Merchant registration
 They have serviced more than 15 customers with more than 70% from other Networks
 The distance between the Wakala and Agents is less than a kilometer.

These merchants are doing cash-out using Lipa kwa simu service. This is chargeable as from now on.

1. Question:
Why do I get charged when I receive money from customer?

Answer:
We have seen that you are not using merchant till for payments as intended instead you are using it to do cash-out transactions, Cash-out transaction is chargeable that is why we do charge your transactions.

2. Question:
What can I do for me to not being charged?

Answer:
Keep using merchant till number for payment of goods and services as per the initial intention.

Please take note and inform our teams accordingly
