NB
Kikwete hufuata Mc Donalds maana michemsho ya bongo imemchosha

mi naona we ndo umepayuka kwani jamaa anahoji kitu cha msingi we unaleta bongo fleva zako

Jamani hacheni kumpigia JK kelele.

Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of TanzaniaThe Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT) is an inclusive, multi-stakeholder partnership to rapidly develop the region’s agricultural potential. SAGCOT was initiated at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Africa summit 2010 with the support of founding partners including farmers, agri-business, the Government of Tanzania and companies from across the private sector.
SAGCOT’s objective is to foster inclusive, commercially successful agribusinesses that will benefit the region’s small-scale farmers, and in so doing, improve food security, reduce rural poverty and ensure environmental sustainability. The risk-sharing model of a public-private partnership (PPP) approach has been demonstrated to be successful in achieving these goals and SAGCOT marks the first PPP of such a scale in Tanzania’s agricultural history.

SAGCOT Centre Ltd “open for business”

17 October, Dar es Salaam – The SAGCOT Centre Limited is now formally open for business with the appointment of its senior management, marking an important milestone in the progress towards realizing the full potential of the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT).

SAGCOT was initiated at the World Economic Forum Africa summit in May 2010 as an inclusive public-private partnership, which aims to rapidly develop the Corridor’s agricultural productivity and profitability. Founding Partners include farmers, agri-business, donor partners, the Government of Tanzania and a range of additional actors. The Partnership will facilitate a new development process in the Corridor that will be commercially successful, while also improving productivity, reducing rural poverty and ensuring environmental sustainability. The risk-sharing model of a public-private partnership (PPP) approach has been demonstrated to be successful in achieving these goals and this is the first PPP of such a scale in Tanzania’s agricultural history.
The SAGCOT Investment Blueprint was launched internationally by H.E. President Kikwete at the 2010 World Economic Forum in Davos, and nationally by Prime Minister Pinda in Dar es Salaam. The Investment Blueprint showcases investment opportunities in the Corridor and lays out a framework of institutions and activities required to reap the development potential.
A further important milestone has now been marked with the formal establishment of the SAGCOT Centre Limited and the appointment of its senior management. The Centre will coordinate activities and investments that support large-scale, emergent and small-scale farmers, and agri-business in targeted high potential areas in the Corridor. The Centre will also support, manage and expand the SAGCOT Partnership, inviting key actors needed to ensure improvement in selected crop and livestock value chains. By providing a central point for these partners, the SAGCOT Centre will help to realize the SAGCOT commitment to ensuring a proactive, transparent and two-way dialogue among partners and stakeholders.

naona nao hawa wanatapa tapa tu

Too low!
