To me it’s evident that President Magufuli lacks the requisite statecraft to be the commander in chief.
But right now that’s neither here nor there.
Let’s talk about his post-presidency, for a minute.
It’s well known how much he loves infrastructural projects.
So how about this:
Why don’t we create a new position, starting in 2026, post his presidency and utilize some of his strengths to better our infrastructure.
The Office of the Infrastructural Czar. That would be the overseer of all infrastructural development projects.
I believe Magufuli has already shown and proved that he is very well equipped for such a job.
He knows how to run a tight ship and crack the whip. He knows how to keep folks on their toes.
I think he would do well in that capacity because it is something very specific, not too complicated, and doesn’t require nuanced language to get things done.
I’d rest easy knowing that former President Magufuli got it and that most projects will finish on time provided that he is given all the tools, power, and authority to execute his job effectively.
What do y’all think about my idea? Sounds kooky?
